The media could not be loaded. This is my first "serious" RC car. This is a really fun toy, for adult and child alike. The specs are there on paper, which is a good start. Brushless motor, high power pack, two batteries, four wheel drive, and 1/10th scale. But specs don't mean much in this age of good marketing for good and bad products alike. The 1/10th scale in particular gives the truck a sense of movement that feels more like a car than a toy. I've used my kids as excuses to buy cheaper RC vehicles in the past, but none really ever ended up that fun. This one is different. Maybe it is the 1/10th scale, maybe it is how connected and responsive the controller feels, maybe it's the amazing power of the device, but driving the thing around feels really immersive and engaging. After a few minutes, you really feel like you are connected to the car as you power slide through a corner or whip it around to fishtail to a stop from full speed in just a couple of feet. I've had it for a couple of days now, so I can't speak to long term durability. It comes with a nice collection of spares, a few gears, more pins and some of the control arms that are likely to break on a hard impact to a wheel. It has a remarkably detailed parts diagram, complete with retail parts numbers (no idea how available they are, but DEERC / Holy Stone has a good reputation for customer support). There are some really nice features with the car as well. There is a small knob on the remote so when the neighbor kid comes over and wants to try it, you can discretely turn the knob from "wow" to "slow" and hand it to a 5 year old and not have them kill any pets or make you need the "explosion diagram" of part numbers. It comes with two batteries, and run time is really good, maybe 20 minutes per battery before it starts visibly slowing down. When I pulled the cover, the motor and controller were just warm, not hot, so the engineering is solid. The power is going to motion, not heating up and wearing out electronics. It also came with two smart charging cables, so you can charge both batteries at once. No USB wall warts though, so if you are out of those, get a couple extras. It comes almost fully assembled, so really easy to set up. Batteries were about 1/3 charged when it arrived. The controller works fine with NiMh rechargeable batteries. I'm sure they won't last as long as alkalines, but I just swap them every few runs. No idea what the ultimate range is, it is advertised as over a football field, and that is far enough that you can't really see it well anyway, so range is "more than good enough". The first time I took this out to our street, it was literally about 2 minutes before I had two kids over wanting to try it, and 10 minutes after that another "grownup" like me and we were talking about how much fun it would be to drink beer and race them. All in all, it is really just fun, probably because it is so responsive and easy to control. You just feel connected and immersed in it. I got this via a promotion, including a $20 coupon that just kind of appeared, so I don't know what price is normal. But the retail cost seems in line with a lot of cars with worse specs (no metal gears, no brushless motors, lower capacity batteries, fewer spare parts, only one body, etc). If I paid full retail, I wouldn't have regretted anything at this point, this is really fun. And something about being able to push it to it's limits makes it more fun than my more expensive flying drone, which is technically amazing, but which I never really feel fully in control of or connected too, and so never felt really comfortable pushing it. I can slide this thing everywhere and put it exactly where I want it while pushing it to it's limits, and if I totally blow it, it will probably be fine. Which is a lot more fun. ... show more

It delivers exceptional value for a fast RC car with a brushless motor for the relatively low price when compared with other top brands. More importantly, the customer service of this company is AMAZING! They fixed my issue even though they didn’t have to. I highly recommend, because of the company especially. They truly do what they can to ensure you are taken cared of. *** Overall, I give the DEERC 200E 1:10 scale RC truck 4 out of 5 stars. I recently purchased this RC car and have been beyond impressed with its speed, durability, and performance across all types of terrain. It handles dirt, gravel, grass and more with ease and has held up incredibly well to daily, high-speed use. DEERC's customer service is also top-notch. When I did have an issue with a broken part, they went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of quickly and completely with a replacement and shipped for free. My only critique is with regards to the included remote control. While it is functional and allows the truck to operate properly, the build quality leaves a bit to be desired. The controls could be more responsive and the range could be improved. However, it has not hampered my overall experience too much. Aside from the only average remote control, the DEERC 200E is an exhilarating RC truck that I highly recommend for anyone looking to tear up the terrain in their backyard or at the park. It's an absolute blast to drive and built to last. DEERC's service after the sale is also a huge plus.
