This DEERC 1:14 scale brushless RC car is an absolute beast and gets a full 5 stars from me! If you're looking for serious speed and durability in an RC car that can handle just about anything, look no further. First off, let's talk SPEED. This thing is fast. Seriously fast. The brushless motor paired with the dual 3S LiPo batteries delivers exhilarating acceleration and hits speeds (46+ mph claimed, and it feels every bit of it) that will genuinely surprise you. It absolutely tears across pavement, dirt, grass, you name it. As the tips suggest, it takes a little practice to master the controls at full throttle, especially in turns, but learning to handle that power is part of the fun! What's equally impressive is its durability. I haven't been gentle with this thing. It's been slammed into obstacles at considerable speed more times than I care to admit, launched off ramps, and tumbled through rough terrain, and it just keeps going. The metal drivetrain components, reinforced chassis, and sturdy bumpers are clearly doing their job. It truly feels built to withstand abuse, making it perfect for bashing around without constant worry. The hydraulic shocks and grippy tires handle bumps and jumps smoothly, making it a blast to drive on sand dunes or rough patches. The battery life is another huge plus. With the two included 3S batteries, I'm getting way more runtime than I expected – easily enough for extended bashing sessions (the advertised 40 minutes feels accurate, maybe even conservative depending on driving style). I found that if you want it to last a SUPER long time, the remote has a control that lets you limit the top speed. Turning it down seriously extends the battery life if you're out and about can't find a charge. While charging takes the standard time for hobby-grade LiPos (and yes, requires removing the batteries like most), the sheer amount of playtime you get makes it totally worth it. Adding to the fun are the 7 different lighting modes. They look awesome, especially when driving at night, and add a cool customizable flair to the truck. The 4WD system provides excellent traction on loose surfaces like sand and mud, just as advertised. Overall, this DEERC RC car punches way above its price point. It delivers incredible speed, surprising toughness, great handling (once you get the hang of the power!), and fantastic battery life.
