This was a great addition to our camera system that can work independently from the DVR even if you don’t have an available port. It works via WiFi and you only need a power source. The pan and tilt works nice. Talking through the camera is not great due to echo but otherwise the audio is good. The night vision camera is a great addition as well. The camera does not tilt down very low. But the fixed for that is to mount the camera upside down and the tilt feature will go much further.     • Great image quality
Camera has great image quality, and subject tracking works well. Software has no ads (as of 7/19/25), and is easy to use. There is a PC/Mac "LorexCloud" program you can use to view cameras on your computer as well. This can be somewhat hard to find and set up, but there are tutorials on YT University. My units sometimes lose connectivity with the software, but is easy to regain, and they are still recording in those moments. ... show more

    • Two of these. either one worked.
I bought one of these for $39. It didn’t work would not connect during setup. Returned it for replacement. That one would not connect. I have another one i bought 2 years ago from Lorex. It has worked fine nonstop for that time.

This is a good camera. I like it because you can power it with a plug, or you can power it with ethernet Poe.

    • Not a good value
It records every time motion is detected instead of constantly recording everything. It captured motion across the street from my 2nd floor window, so it has pretty good range. The camera does not follow anything and only moves if you physically do so or from the app. The design works and allows for it to be sturdy and set in place without screwing it though that is also an option. The picture quality was very clear and it connected to the WiFi easily but the reason I gave it two stars was because the night vision did not work at all. It looked incredibly dark and I actually had to turn night vision off to see anything. Its not a good value for the money as it doesn’t do what its supposed to do. ... show more
