I have had a bi-lateral hip replacement and nerve damage in one of my legs so my thigh bones are sensitive from the implants and was searching for a comfortable chair to use in the livingroom for card games and video games. I had an old camp chair but it was painfull to use after 10 minutes. So I read the reviews and ordered this one in the green. It is bigger than I expected folded up, and not something I would hike with far for camping, but for what I needed it is perfect. It is both roomy and well padded. The seat where it strikes the back of my leg is padded and dosn't hurt me even after an hour or so of sitting. The frame is very sturdy and is fairly simple to unfold, set up, and fold back up again. There is a strap to keep it tightly folded in its bag for storage, and the material is well made and easy to clean. It would be a great comfortable chair for an outdoor picknic or get together where you didn't have to shlep it a great distance before setting it up. And my girl cat thinks it is the best thing since squeeze treats so it is being well used by all. ... show more

This chair is very comfortable! I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for something that is also strong and sturdy. It’s constructed with a metal frame that holds up to continuous use. There’s even enough room to curl up and fold up your legs into it. The arms are sewn onto the seat and allow for tucking a book or your phone right next to you, and it won’t fall onto the ground. I love this chair! I had a similar chair that I got for Christmas, (a few months before purchasing this chair), but after a few uses, it had already broke and was falling apart. Its frame was all plastic. I use this chair almost daily and it holds up very well. No issues after over 6 months of use. Get it, you’ll be glad you did. ... show more

I purchased the black/red plaid. I was shocked how big this chair is! I sure wasn’t expecting that- super cozy to sit in, though it is a bit heavy.(again, I wasn’t expecting it to be that big). So, I had originally written a glowing review about this chair. Well, that has NOT changed. I love this chair and kick myself I didn't order two. It was around $90 when I purchased it originally and now it is at $149. Typical reactions from people "wow, that's quite a chair" "that looks fancy" "that looks really comfortable" Guess what? It IS comfortable, it is big, both my young kids and I all sat in the chair at once. I am not the thinnest guy, hefty, but not morbidly obese. It is supposed to hold 500lbs. I would say 400lbs safely. It isn't really padded on the butt but on the sides. Still, I love the chair. What happens at camping trips or events with family - the chair is immediately taken. It always has someone sitting in it. My kids steal it from me all the time. Nephews, nieces, they love it since it's bigger than most and two kids can fit easily in it. There are only TWO slight cons not worth demoting for a star: 1) the drink holder sucks. If your drink is near full, it will spill some as it isn't a sturdy drink holder. More like "hold your keys" - it's like those mesh holder in a tent - it tips slightly when you put a drink in it 2) The bag that holds the chair. Now, mine is still intact, no rips, but it is NOT sturdy by any means. However, I have taken care of it and it has still held up. I do not abuse it. It has been a solid purchase and I have zero regrets in buying it. It was the *one* chair I wanted to feel like I treated myself to. ... show more

I purchased this chair because it's rated to hold 500 pounds and I'm just under 300. It's a good chair, does great as far as that is concerned. It's very sturdy and strong. It's actually very plush and comfortable. There's a lot of pockets and places to put things. There's a cup holder also. The only negative thing that I have to say is that the company that makes the chair needs to make the joint where the armrest connects to the front legs and bends down to the floor stronger. That is the spot that I use, as well as you will also, to brace yourself every time that you get up from the chair, and that joint cannot take that pressure. It's riveted to a metal pipe and that rivet and the piece of plastic that is held there is not strong enough and eventually we'll break the more that you use it to brace yourself. I've purchased this chair before and that's exactly what happened. The rest of the chair was in perfect condition except for those two joints that broke. ... show more

This chair is so over the top, but I love it. This will be awesome for car camping. It's extremely padded so it will definitely be cozy sitting in front of the campfire. I have a feeling my kids are going to be curled up with me. If you're worried about the size, it's definitely very large. I recall one of the comments saying this is about four times the size of a regular camping chair folded up and that's accurate, but I was still surprised when I saw it in person... I think a better way to visualize it is to picture one of those large pop-up tents used for tailgating or farmers markets. It's comparable in size to one of those when folded up. I'm going to keep it at this point, but I might not have bought it had I realized just how much room is needed to store it. ... show more
