This chair is so over the top, but I love it. This will be awesome for car camping. It's extremely padded so it will definitely be cozy sitting in front of the campfire. I have a feeling my kids are going to be curled up with me. If you're worried about the size, it's definitely very large. I recall one of the comments saying this is about four times the size of a regular camping chair folded up and that's accurate, but I was still surprised when I saw it in person... I think a better way to visualize it is to picture one of those large pop-up tents used for tailgating or farmers markets. It's comparable in size to one of those when folded up. I'm tall and that comes with extra weight lol but at 500lb weight limit I'm not even at half the capacity, this chair is comfy, its a wide seat, has pockets/small storage areas along the arm rest, comes with a sturdy Velcro strap so when your done with it it packs away in the provided carrying bag. Its kind of bulky in that regard so you got to finesse it into place, but its not too bad. ... show more

So, I had originally written a glowing review about this chair. Well, that has NOT changed. I love this chair and kick myself I didn't order two. It was around $90 when I purchased it originally and now it is at $149. Typical reactions from people "wow, that's quite a chair" "that looks fancy" "that looks really comfortable" Guess what? It IS comfortable, it is big, both my young kids and I all sat in the chair at once. I am not the thinnest guy, hefty, but not morbidly obese. It is supposed to hold 500lbs. I would say 400lbs safely. It isn't really padded on the butt but on the sides. Still, I love the chair. What happens at camping trips or events with family - the chair is immediately taken. It always has someone sitting in it. My kids steal it from me all the time. Nephews, nieces, they love it since it's bigger than most and two kids can fit easily in it. There are only TWO slight cons not worth demoting for a star: 1) the drink holder sucks. If your drink is near full, it will spill some as it isn't a sturdy drink holder. More like "hold your keys" - it's like those mesh holder in a tent - it tips slightly when you put a drink in it 2) The bag that holds the chair. Now, mine is still intact, no rips, but it is NOT sturdy by any means. However, I have taken care of it and it has still held up. I do not abuse it. It has been a solid purchase and I have zero regrets in buying it. It was the *one* chair I wanted to feel like I treated myself to. ... show more

Likes - big - comfortable - sturdy - heavy - The carry bag is good but likely won't last long if you do not get the chair situated squarely before zipping up the bag. It has a velcro strap that aids in holding the chair closed. The padding on the back is nice but will likely be really hot outside. But if you're exhausted after playing outside, it is a nice tradeoff. Adding this after some use - was at an all day festival running sound and I used this chair during my breaks. It is as close to living room furniture as I have ever had outside. It is extremely comfortable and is very sturdy. ... show more

Bought it for camping and fishing with my dad(61) who can’t get up out of most chairs and needs a lot of cushion. He couldn’t stand the tripod Eskimo chairs, and couldn’t get up out of them. Even a regular camping chair was too low. Quality construction. I believe to be aluminum or steel frame that’s coated. The red and black Matches my Eskimo gear too. Absolutely love this chair. The bottom doesn't did into the back of your legs when you're sitting down. The sides are wide and cushioned. It has plenty of room. This is my go to chair for music festivals and camping
