  • GREAT VALUE
SUPER BUMMED!!! I've done a lot of research online, and this seems to be such a great buy. I just got it today, only to find one of the knobs on the lever was broken off and another lever was bent. Once I saw that I just packed it back up to ship back; however, I now wish I put it all together just to see how it would have felt. I still want to order another one, but I just want to make sure I don't get any problems from Amazon before I reorder. It's probably unfair to give it one star. It looked very sturdy. I would have thought of all the pieces that would come in damaged it would have been the back rest, but it looked fine when I inspected it. I do see what ppl meant though by wobbly arm rests. When I took them out of the box the upper part of the arm rest had some wiggle in it. I didn't bother to check if there was a way to tighten it up though. Yeah, one star is probably unfair, but I'm keeping it like that till I get an undamaged one shipped to me Edited:12-17-14 Originally rated it 1 star, but am changing it to 4 star. It was a headache at first trying to return the chair. I had to call customer service 3 times to get it sorted out. The first call was answered, but it was just dead air on the other side. I thought I was on hold so I held for like 10 minutes before I requested another call back. They called back immediately and I got a person on the other end quickly. She asked me if I wanted UPS to pick up the item or if I wanted to drop it off at a UPS store. I chose for UPS to pick up. Email sent from Amazon stated that UPS will pick up in so many days and that the driver would have the return slip to place onto the package. It stated that I did not need to call them, but had UPS' ph# listed. I decided to call to see if I could get a more narrower pickup time. To my surprise, I was informed by the UPS rep that service Amazon had requested from them was not for the pickup service; however, UPS would come by for a nominal fee, but I would still need a return label from Amazon. I don't know if that's a Hawaii thing or what. Anyways, I called back a 3rd time and just told them to email me a return shipping label so I could just drop it off at a UPS store. A little irritating, but after that no more problems. The package was returned quickly and I got refunded quickly so I went to reorder. UNFORTUNATELY, Amazon Prime was now temporarily out of stock. I could order it from another vender, but it would cost more.. plus shipping to Hawaii. After waiting a few days, I finally broke down and ordered the older version of this chair the LLR86200 series. For those that don't know, this chair is the LLR86205. I'm still a little salty because the older version cost approx. $23 more, even though it doesn't have the Synchro-Tilt Mechanism & Seat Glider features the LLR86205 has. And for those wondering, the older version seems identical [just without the extra features i just mentioned]. I was able to assemble it in less than 30 minutes. The instructions are not well written. You pretty much just look at the picture. ANyways, I just put it together so I can't speak for durability; however, it looks and feels sturdy. The left arm rest has a little wiggle in it, but I knew that was to be expected after reading all the other reviews. The cushion feels amply padded and the back support feel comfortable. Some ppl say the chair comes with a chemical smell. I'd have to agree. Smells like wet paint to me though. It doesn't bother me, but it is there. I'm just going to spray frebreze on it and let it air out. I'm thinking that will be enough to remedy that issue. For those wondering how high the back rest goes up, it reaches the top of my shoulders. I'm 5'9"-5'10" standing. There is an area at the top of the back rest where it looks like one could attach the neck rest the LLR60324 series comes with. If I can find one I'm going to buy the attachment. IMO, that would make this chair perfect for my needs. In conclusion, for the money I think it's a great (5 star) value and will be looking to purchase another one. ... show more

  • Purchased in 2018 and still feels like new
Rolls and adjusts very nicely. Easy to clean. Super smooth. The cushion hasn't broken down at all in the years I've owned it. Great chair! I wanted to buy another one and I'm bummed it's almost twice that price now but that's inflation for ya.

  • Great chair, weak arm rests
Pros: -My back is COLD. Mesh makes more of a difference than I expected. -Easy assembly -Chair SEEMS to have a sturdy base Cons: -Arms seem kind of flimsy for heavy-use -Arms don't sit as low as I'd like. That said, they adjust to as low as ~8" tall, they just happen to clip my desk a lot -Chair's lowest height setting is higher than most chairs I have tried. at 5'10", my feet reach the floor perfectly on the lowest setting. If you're shorter, you might want to reconsider I'm what you call a heavy-sitter. As a programmer, I spend 8-10 hours a day in a chair. This one provides more back support than my previous chairs, and appears to have a sturdy base, which hopefully won't wear out and cause the chair to wobble. The arm rests are a little iffy, and never seem to be where I want them. They're rather flimsy feeling, and I fear that adjusting my seat by placing my weight onto them will wear them out, but time will tell. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. If there's any major wear'n'tear within a year, I'll edit the review to make note of it. Updates (also in comments below): I would like to make just two complaints. First, the mesh fabric on the back has become slightly loose. It is still firmly attached at all points on the chair, and still provides complete support, so this is a minor concern. I am a heavy lounger, so I tend to lean back a lot and this chair has done a good job at supporting my weight. Second, there is minor damage to the right arm rest. The arm rests are basically a firm rubber/plastic material with a metal form on the inside. At the edge of this metal frame, the rubber padding has torn due to the way I place my weight on the arm rests when adjusting my seat. The damage is a small 2" tear at the very back end. Aside from those minor complaints, the base of the chair is still completely sturdy, the seat is still comfortable, the arm rests haven't been damaged that I can see, and the back of the chair still provides great support. If the chair makes it past 2 years, it will have been one of the best investments I've made in terms of office supplies/furniture. March 21st, 2015: Both arm rests now have significant tearing - Enough to be annoying due to rough edges. I've repaired them quite adequately with super glue, but it's worth saying that the arm rests are really the weak link for this chair. ... show more
