I’m not often in loud environments so I’ve never really used any kind of ear plugs before. I bought these solely because I was going to a very large stadium concert and knew I needed to protect my ears. These are cute and I didn’t want something orange and ugly sticking out of my ears. I’m so glad I got them! They are better than I could have imagined. They didn’t distort my ability to hear whatsoever. I could hear my friends next to me talking, I could hear the artist speaking, singing, I could hear everything perfectly clear but without the extra “noise”. I’m not sure exactly how to explain but you know how the inside of your ears will feel tense and uncomfortable if you hear something too loud? It’s like a ringing sensation and can even be painful. I was at a 3.50 hour stadium show with people around me screaming and very loud music but I wasn’t uncomfortable at all. I didn’t see many people using any ear plugs and to be honest, I’m not sure how they made it that long without any kind of protection. These were a great purchase and a great experience. I’d argue that I heard the music BETTER while wearing these. I had them on for 3-4 hours in 90 degree heat. I was sweating a ton and these didn’t budge. They were incredibly comfortable too. One pair will come with multiple sizes of inserts so you can find the best option. I looooooved that! Idk how my ears compare to the average but I did need to change the size of the inserts and had no issues. So don’t worry about the size, you’ll be fine. I also wore them to a workout class where the instructor’s mic and music was very loud. It was a heated class so I sweat a lot and these still didn’t budge. I had no trouble hearing the instructor or the music and I was perfectly comfortable. I’m so thankful I bought these and I’ll keep them on me in case I ever need them. I don’t often write reviews but I loved these and was so happy with them I feel like I have to tell everyone to get a pair. Only regret was not buying sooner - but I had never heard of them. This was an investment I didn’t know I needed. Far more comfortable effective eco friendly and pretty than throw away single use ear plugs. Fantastic for concerts and shows. You can hear music well but it cuts the extreme bass. As a spin instructor and concert enthusiast, I am nearly deaf. I purchased these as an investment in my hearing as I continue to teach and go to shows as I age. They’re like a work of art. i usually never find ear bud type products that fit in my ears, these came with an XS size tip that fit perfectly and comfortably in my ear. wore them to an extremely loud tech rave and it didn’t muffle the sound it just made it a comfortable listening volume. didn’t fall out despite constant head banging, chewing gum, eating, drinking, or talking. ... show more

I don’t write a lot of reviews but I think it’s tough to pick items like HF earplugs, so I hope this is helpful to others. I wore these for a concert in a small venue with some really loud sound and thumping bass and kick drums. I’ve tried about three other pairs of high fidelity earplugs in the past and these were easily the best. I think it started with the fit. I have bigger ear holes, but even when buying the larger sizes in other earplugs, I was always having to adjust them. I was a bit skeptical that these did not have flanged tips like most of them out there. The tips look like the most basic of the classic headphone tips, but they came in four different sizes, and the largest formed a good seal in my ear without being uncomfortable. The medium felt good, but when I tested them, it was clear some sound was coming in around the sides, because the difference with the large tips was very significant. I found that the loops stayed put in my ears and were pretty comfy/non-distracting. The quality was not quite true sound, yet an improvement over the previous plugs I’ve tried. The music did not sound THAT much different. Oddly, the significant moderation of the kick drum and bass, amplified the feeling of thumping in my body but I adjusted to that. The vocals did not sound much different, but the mids, like guitar and some digital tones, like keyboards and sequencers, were a bit muted. Overall, the sound didn’t get muffled as much as other earplugs, even the HF one’s I’ve tried before, yet it felt like the mids were turned down. I was impressed with how much the crowd noise was turned down! Whenever I slipped the loops out, I didn’t notice that anything that felt a bit muffled sounded any different, so that had more to do with the acoustics, but I did notice how loud the crowd was. Ultimately, I found wearing these at the show to be a pleasant experience. I think the look of these are interesting. Much better than ones that stick out of your ear with a pull tab. Clear or flesh colored might be nice, but again, i prefer the loop to the tab. It looks and feels better. I knocked a star for a reason that’s been stated in other reviews. The case doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence. It’s cheaper than the cool aluminum keychain, twist cap one’s you typically get. It’s plastic, with a plastic snap, and a thin jelly loop for attaching to a keychain or anything. It feels as if that loop could break easy AND that they case could open. I think it’s also possible, with the build of the case, to pop it open and have the ear plugs go flying, so be careful! Overall, though, I’m really happy with these. It’s hard to imagine using anything else. If they upgraded the case, these would easily be my favorite. ... show more
