My favorite thing about these plugs is that theyre comfortable and soft in the ear while still giving the same noise reduction as work earplugs. Theyre slightly smaller than the ones at work though. This also means they put slightly less pressure inside your ear. My only issue is I dont think theyre all exactly the same size. The 1st pair I tried, the one I put in my left ear didnt expand with enough pressure to block noise like the one in my right ear. Even after 10 minutes. My left ear is slightly bigger than my right, but I switched it for a different plug and the 2nd plug worked. So there may be a % of the bottle that wont work for me due to them not being the exact same size. All in all still worth it for sleeping specifically as theyre softer and more comfortable in the ear and have the same effect as larger plugs like you would get at work. ... show more

I have sleep apnea and the noise from my CPAP machine makes it hard to fall asleep. additionally, I have a room humidifier that is loud, and I use these to eliminate the noise from the machines and it helps me fall asleep so much faster. I travel a lot as well and sleeping in a hotel room is never ideal, so I hope to try these out in the hotel very soon. - The are easy to use. - They compress and expand fairly rapidly. - They stay in place all night - They are more comfortable than the silicon earplugs I have tried. These are a replacement for the AMAZKER Bell-Shaped 60 Pairs Ultra Soft Earplugs SNR-35dB I have been using for the past two years that Amazon no longer sells. Oo far, these have been as good or better than those, just have to wait and see how they work when traveling. My only negative, after a while they make my ear itch (not all the time), but so did the previous ones I used. That is more on me than the product. ... show more

Unfortunately because rent is extremely high I was forced to resign the lease to my overpriced studio apt. In the evenings, I’m tortured by the neighbors with the two demon children and then the night shift is led by the stoner and her bf who slam their cupboard and microwave doors against my wall well up until 3am. While I am strongly considering breaking my lease if I can find something of equal or slightly lesser rent, I’m stuck here. And I wouldn’t get a single minute of sleep without these. Do I wish there was a 50db in existence? Yes. But I would have exponentially less of my sanity left if it weren’t for this product. For anyone who can relate, my heart goes out to you. I couldn't take the boyfriend snoring anymore, desperate for sleep I purchased these and well, they work. They're a good price for the amount and they muffle the noise to the point I can sleep through his snoring but still respond if the baby wakes up. I can have a conversation if the person talks loud enough. I do not think I will ever consider anything in my ear to be "comfortable" but they don't irritate my ears like I thought they might so I will continue to purchase these. ... show more

    • Blocks like 90% of the sound. Not that good for multiple uses.

I use these for sleeping and they're pretty good. They block about 90% of the sound, enough to sleep through most noises, although someone using a blower outside my window will still wake me up. They're comfortable because they don't expand to an extremely tight fit, which is why they block only 90% of the sound. If I use them a few nights in a row, each night they block a little less sound, but still a good deal for the price. These are NRR 31, you can get NRR 33 and as you'd expect they block more sound. ... show more

I recently gave a 2 Star review on these ear plugs. I continued to wear them and realized they open quietly in your ear and actually work very well. The only reason I give them a 4 star instead of 5 is because you only get 1 pair of 38 db and the rest are 31 db soft ear plug.

I have worn purple 38dB ear plugs for over 20 years. Usually buy a large package at that big box store in every town. This was the first time from Amazon and I am actually quite pleased. They are smaller than what I'm used to, so I thought they wouldn't expand enough inside the ear. Enough is the key word! I bought these ear plugs to help me sleep since my neighbor had a baby. I am happy to report that these earplugs worked great and I wasn’t woken up to a crying baby all night. I was still able to hear my alarm go off the next morning, so that’s also a plus.
