    • Great for sleeping
I'm a very light sleeper and to make it worse I work night shift so I sleep in the afternoon. These have helped so much when it comes to getting quality sleep and now I can't sleep without them. They pretty much muffle out most of the noise, (equivalent to noise canceling headphones). If you put them in correctly you won't hear much background noise. ***NOTE***: If you're going to use them for sleeping, PLEASE give it a solid 2 weeks to get used to them. When I first used them it was uncomfortable for the first week or so as I wasn't used to it, I actually thought I'd end up throwing them away. Give yourself time to adjust to them and you won't regret using them for sleep. It feels a bit weird at first but as the weeks go by it gets better. To put them in, I usually roll one at a time using my index finger and thumb (roll and pinch) and as I'm doing that I'd use my other hand to pull my ear up/back. Place it in your ear, let go of your ear and gently place a finger over it to cover it while it's expanding (when it expands it sometimes comes out a bit). After you do it enough times it becomes easy and works perfectly, it should sound like everything is muffled. ***I use mine for 2 nights max and then throw them out, sometimes only 1 night. I've bought probably 4 of these packs this year so far, still have a few packs left and all have been good quality*** ... show more

    • These work for me... every night.
My wife has apnea or related breathing problems while sleeping, so it's a complex sort of snoring/snarging that she does. To make matters worse, she's a night owl and I'm a morning person, so I go to bed before she does. To keep the peace, I wear one of these in one ear every night, trusting my heavy pillow to do the rest. It doesn't always work; if I'm not asleep when she comes to bed, I hear her talking with the dog and getting ready for bed. But for the most part the earplug strategy works, and I wear one every night. So... this product... These are soft and pliable and can be squeezed down enough to go right into my ear canal. The noise cancellation is best the first night, and it degrades from there. Three nights is about all I get out of one. After that they're maybe too soft, having been compressed several times. But that works for me, and I get most of a year out of a bottle of 50 pair, noting again that I use only one per night. I'm not motivated to shop for others, I just reorder these. ... show more

Noise-Blocking Marvels: Living in noisy urban areas like NYC and San Francisco, I needed earplugs to deliver their silent promise. Mack's earplugs do just that, creating a serene, quiet oasis amidst the urban cacophony. 2. Oops! Wrong Size: I made a bit of a blunder when I ordered the narrow earplugs. They stuck out too far from my ears, initially leaving me contemplating a return. However, I decided to give them a chance and took matters into my own hands. I ingeniously cut them in half, placing the whiter side inside my ear, and voilà! Complete sound blocking achieved. 3.     • Flesh-colored so no one can tell I'm wearing them
I love this product. These are the best earplugs I've ever tried. I wear them all day because I'm very sensitive to neighborhood outdoor noise like dogs barking, lawn mowers, people talking loud, music playing, cars rushing by, etc. I also wear them when I go to grocery stores that play 'elevator music' that I find very distracting and too loud. I can still hear things I need to hear throughout the day, like people talking to me or around me, the phone ringing, the doorbell, the microwave bell and oven/dryer buzzer, and dialogue on TV shows/movies, etc. It also helps that they are flesh-colored and blend in with my skin (I'm Caucasian), so no one notices that I'm wearing them. This is also perfect for overnight wear - it has improved my sleep substantiallly as I'm a very light sleeper. Nothing wakes me up anymore. Also, I take them out every evening and wash them with soap - they will collect ear wax, but I just wash them thoroughly and can reuse many times. They do not degrade quickly at all.     • Saved My Quality of Sleep
For context, even though I've lived in cities my whole life and am used to moderate road noise, I've never been this close to the highway. I started to get headaches relatively frequently and my doctor said it's likely the road noise disrupting my sleep, even if it doesn't fully wake me up. Turns out no amount of familiarity can make you immune to some loser redlining his crotch rocket at 4 am. I looked at a lot of different earplug brands before settling on this one and hooo boy, they have single-handedly saved my quality of sleep. I feel way more rested in the mornings and don't get headaches at all anymore! The level of noise cancelation is fantastic, and I never have trouble getting them to stay in while moving or sleeping. It did take me about a week to adjust, because they aren't the most comfortable. They don't hurt, but there was some discomfort for me initially. Maybe because I'm just not used to wearing earplugs.
