I've only had the blanket a few days. I did wash it when I got it. I've had no issue so far with loss of texture. The sherpa is still very soft. The knitting hasn't pulled. I very much like the weight and color. It's very warm. You don't feel a fan through it. The length is perfect for a personal blanket (I got the larger size). It might be a little warm for a throw, but that's probably personal opinion (my mom will probably steal it when she visits). But yeah, so far, I'm very happy. Looks great, feels great. Seems worth the price. I'll update if that changes.

If you're searching for a richly colored throw to accentuate your decor you won't be disappointed with this one. But if you're looking for a throw that is beautiful, well crafted and will actually keep you warm this is the one you need. I grew up surrounded by women who crocheted and knitted blankets and throws for themselves and everyone around them. Unfortunately I chose not to learn the craft but I've always appreciated the look and feel of all things hand-made. This one has a real home-made appearance. The sherpa lining is super soft. The two layers combined provide warmth without feeling heavy. It's been machine washed and dried several times without fading or losing shape. I consider it to be among my best Amazon purchases and I recommend it highly.

Having owned the same blanket since 2005, I figured it was time for a new blanket. So I started my search. looking for high positive reviews as always, and also the negative. Recently purchased this. Writing this review at the end of 2023. Looking at it up close, it looks the same as my blanket it terms of thickness. For anyone wondering what my old blanket is, it’s a San Marcos original blanket. Made in china. So not an original since the original ones were made in Mexico. No longer made. You can still find companies that make them with similar material and if you don’t mind having an animal or a specific design on the blanket. Warm, heavy blanket I used for all seasons. still have it. Anyways, this one ended up being thinner, maybe just lighter in terms of weight since my old blanket was meant for a bigger bed size and this one I ordered is for a size full bed. It’s definitely nice and warm. Since right now it’s cold, I am using the white fur style material side. It’s warm enough and also having a heater helps. Quality of material feels great. No shedding. even after i washed it first before using it like you always should. Time will tell. I paid 40 plus tax. I was not expecting perfection. I don’t see this lasting the same as my other blanket, but we will see. I ordered the dark green one. Softness, comfort, and light weight, 5 out of 5 from me. Thickness and combined with being warm, 4 out of 5.

I love this blanket so much. I have two of them; one in the regular size in cream and one in the oversize in dark gray. It is so comfortable. Soft, thick, warm, big, snugly. This is exactly the blanket you're looking for if you're searching for this type of blanket. The regular sized one was already perfect for me to sleep with at night but the oversized one that I purchased recently is exquisite. I've only posted photos of the oversized one since it's the one I'm using currently. I have a queen sized bed for size reference. ~obviously, the cats love it, too~ I'm going to be beginning converting to life on the road in a grand adventure of moving out of my apartment and into a small RV full time and I already know this will be perfect for that, as well. Autumn and Winter are coming up and I used the regular sized last year as my main blanket,. I can't wait to use the oversized one this year. I have nothing bad to say about it. The price is the best you'll find for this type of blanket, as well, so stop your search.

EDIT: As I mentioned in my first review, I ordered one for my friend and she LOVED it. I ended up ordering one for her husband for Christmas and he was thrilled! Told coworkers about it, one of them ordered one that day and texted me after she got it saying "best blanket ever!" She was talking about it at work last week and another coworker ordered one right then. I'm seriously going to start ordering one as a gift for friends and family. I'm 5'10" and my biggest complaint with regular throws is they're never long enough to come up to my shoulders and still cover my feet, this oversize one is plenty big enough. Of course this means when they're folded they're extra thick so you'll have to make sure you have somewhere to store them, but they're more than worth the extra space needed. Ordered the oversize one after mulling it over a few days. I threw it in the wash right away and dried it on tumble dry low. It came out so soft and fluffy! The next day I folded clothes while sitting on my couch and decided to give it a whirl - I laid down and covered myself with it and almost immediately had the best nap I’ve had in years. I wasn’t even intending on taking one but I was so comfy it just kinda happened. I got the light gray one and the color is kind of a beige-y gray, which works perfect for me because my couch is a similar color. I ended up ordering one more in navy because I know when I have company people will be fighting over who gets to use it. Then I ordered another one for my best friend’s birthday and I’m debating ordering one for my mom. Seriously - it’s THAT good. Buy it, you won’t regret it!
