If you're looking for a sturdy, warm, basic knee length black puffer coat that isn't astronomically expensive this is it. Its everything I was looking for. I'm normally an XL and I sized up to a XXL for coziness and ability to layer. I would have been fine in the XL but I'm really happy with the larger size too. Its very warm and has held up against some miserable Midwest winter weather. The main side pockets are huge and lined with warm fleece. I'm 5'6" with a short torso and long legs and this hits a couple inches below my knees. It's easy to zip and opens up from the bottom too so you can unzip it a bit to sit down easier. I don't mind that the hood doesn't detach because if I'm wearing this thing its not the kind of weather for no hood. I saw comments that the arms are short but they fit me perfectly and I like the fitted band of material around the wrist so the cold doesn't sneak up the arms of the coat. Its definitely not one of those slim fit styles - its puffy but still easy to drive, sit, and walk in. I'm annoyed I waited so long to buy this but happy I held out and found this one because its perfect and half the price of other options I considered.

Last night I waited for an uber for 30 minutes standing outside in 33 degree weather. I had on my light clothing from my flight, a second little light layer and this coat - just purchased. I pulled up the hood, put my hands deep in the furry pockets and was blissfully comfortable praising the heavens I wasn't cold. I'm almost five eight and the large is a perfect size for me with the arms being long enough ( a minor miracle! ) protectively cuffed at the ends. I love that this jacket can be zipped up efficiently so a person doesn't even need to wear a scarf - and the hood actually stays in place properly. I love the deep pockets lined with fur that keep a person's hands warm. Nice touch! I was out in light rain this morning. So far, so good on light rain wear. Very pleased. I'm guessing if this coat was fully traditionally waterproof it would make a person sweat so, so far at least, this kind of waterproofing is a nice compramise. The coat is a rich brown color and a good length. It's poofy but not the kind of poofy that makes a person appear pumpkin-like.

I love this jacket. I purchased it in advance of a trip to Europe in December and I was so happy I did. We were outside for full days with lows in the 30s. I wore a wool shirt and fleece lined pants underneath and I was never cold. A lot of times, I was even comfortable enough to leave it unzipped. I really like the elastic cuffs on the wrists that keep heat in and avoid the annoyance of an open sleeve, as well as the deep pockets and warm lining that doubled as gloves when my hands got colder. I also find the color and fit flattering and I love how it looked in photos.

For $50 this coat was worth it. Definitely not “high” quality but it’s warm and fits well. I saw another review to make sure to carefully unsnap the buttons when you get the coat because the outer fabric is thin and can rip the buttons right off. I second this because I could easily see how if I wasn’t paying attention I could have easily ripped a button clean off.

I love this jacket. It’s true to size. I typically have an issue with sleeves being too short, but the sleeves fit me fine, maybe they ride up a little? But the sleeves are nice and tight around the wrist. This thing is so dang warm. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this coat. I typically size up with coats, but found that the large was way too big on me. I’m about 5’8” and 150 pounds. The medium is roomy enough to have layers underneath. I imagine the sleeves would feel a little tight with heavier layers underneath, but it does fine with long sleeve shirts. Highly recommend and would absolutely buy again. For the price, if this doesn’t last more than a year, I would still get another one next year. I have not had to wear it for any extended period of time, but it works really well in the sprints that I am out in 30° weather so far. The pockets are fleece lined and really warm too!

This turned out to be a really nice coat. Looking at some of the other reviewers photos, I thought the coats looked a bit wrinkly and under-filled, kind of flat. But, when I got mine, I hung it up and per the directions, made sure to pat it and fluff it up every so often. I let it hang for a couple of days and was amazed to see it fill up during that time. All the wrinkles filled out and it turned out to be a nice looking puffer coat. One of the main reasons I chose this coat over the others is that the zipper starts way down at the bottom of the hem. All of the other competitors coats the zipper starts about 8 inches up from the hem, so there's less coverage warmth-wise. Another thing I discovered that is a big bonus is that this has a double zipper, which means you can unzip it from the bottom hem for air or access, leaving the top part zipped. This feature isn't listed in the description, so this was a nice surprise. Also, this zipper is very smooth and easy to zip up and down, no sticking or difficulty pulling it up or down. The two pockets exterior pockets are nice and deep, and lined with a soft microfiber type cloth that makes it feel nice and warm. As others have said, the exterior breast pocket slit is just for decoration, there's no actual pocket there. However, there is an interior pocket in that same place that is perfect for holding a phone or something you want to keep handy and safe. The hood is large and is secured by two snaps in front which also serve to keep the wind out of your neck. As large and warm as this coat is, it is pretty lightweight and doesn't restrict your movement. I got this coat to give to a lady in need and I know this will keep her warm and as dry as possible in the coming cold weather. This was definitely a good buy and a good quality coat for being out in the elements. If I needed such a coat, I'd definitely buy one for myself!

Great if you have shorter arms... not for me I have longer arms. The coat is very warm. I kept it for work in the winter months and then gave it away. Yes I did read the reviews before hand but didn't take heed.🤠 Hood was way too big
