This is an 80’2 syllable long puffer jacket like I used to have in Junior High. It sure took a long time for this style to come back around. The hips are a little snug and the coat isn’t the easiest thing to wear when you sit down, but it is warm. Your legs will stay warm too. I love the deep pockets and hood too. One of the best things about it is that it has some snaps AND a zipper! This is a requirement for me with all my coats because I love a quick snap in a hurry. Overall, I am very happy with it.

After I unboxed this coat, shook it out, cut off the brand tags and – finally – hung it up in the living room for a good look, I thought “Wow!” Simply put, the coat looked great. While it still hung I inspected it from top to bottom, keeping an eye out for loose threads (none), uneven seams (zero) or any kind of sloppy construction (nada). I tried it on and glanced in the mirror to determine if the Medium size fit well (I’m 5’4” and 130). It did, with room left over for one or two layers. The pockets were deeper and larger than in other jackets and coats I’ve had. The cuffs fit snugly but not tightly, ready to go to work in winter to keep out cold drafts. The zipper went up and down smoothly, the hood fit well and snapped in place to protect my neck and lower face. I’m really happy with this coat and know that it will keep me nice and toasty in January and February, when early morning walks in the San Francisco Bay Area are often in the low 30s and sometimes descend into the 20s. Other pluses include that the outer material is water- and stain-repellent (and also anti-piling, lint-free, and scratch-resistant); it’s made with 100 recyclable fabric; and it has windproof cuffs. Also, at the current price of $59.99, it’s something of a bargain. An easy 5 stars for this one.
