This is a winner and is exactly what I was hoping for. I’m 5’3 and weigh127 .its not super heavy at all but well made and a great fit. I’m have broad shoulders and am a 34 on top so I can easily wear a lightweight sweater under his and it won’t be too tight. Plenty of room in the shoulders and hip / rear. If your hippy or have a larger rear but still need a small on top you will be fine! I’m smaller on the bottom and have a small waist (26) but this has way ample room for a larger person . I still think the small is perfect for me as I like a little room but don’t want to look like a snowman ! I live in Oregon and it’s cold here but not lots of snow.. but wet and damp.. this seems to be very warm (but again not a heavy coat! ) and I wore outside and it’s very breezy today and it does more than the job. I travel to CHI for work and I anticipate his will be plenty warm. The collar is very nice and really makes the black look classy and not so boring .. . The collar seems well secured so perhaps they have fixed this .. as other reviews says it’s not well attached.. either way this would not be a deal killer as you can just either take off or tack it on with thread.. The hood is nice and it has two snaps that close close enough t your neck to offer additional warmth on a windy day. Lastly I like there length .. right to the knee and a classic shape. Wore this coat in 20 degree weather in Atlanta and it was warm enough without wearing sweater underneath. Long enough to reach knees. Ordered a size up in large to allow for layering and stretching arms. Also, loved fur by neck area and neck buttons so that scarf was not needed. Adjustable hood was nice. Was warm enough to walk several blocks in cold weather to work while traveling. Also was able to fold it up in compressible vacuum seal plastic bag to save travel packing space. Coat does not feel heavy while wearing. Also loved zippered pockets. Quality of coat was great. Did not experience any issues with zipper. ... show more

WOW I just love this coat, hood and faux fur both removable, faux fur can be washed on delicate, then hang or lay to dry, this is everything I wanted, I didn't feel one bit of the wind the other day..at all, I live in Boston and it gets extremely cold and windy, and again was fine, for the first time ever. Windproof 100%..also water resistant, may even be waterproof, we shall see, but definitely windproof, hood fits perfect and isn't bunch up and attached to collar, it hangs lower under under your shoulders and u can just toss over your head and pull the secured strings to tighten over your face, I can't say or recommend this coat enough , and for the price it is right now, well if your looking for something to keep u very warm and block the wind from your body neck and face, buy this, buttons are a b@#$%,to attach fur back on but I just keep it on anyway cuz I love the feel and warmth of it, and it stays on, hasn't come unattached once, LOVE THIS!! ... show more

UPDATE: I've received my XL size, and it is huge. My normal size is XL, but I sized down and ordered the L first (see below). L was too snug around the waist when I wore a sweater, but XL has me swimming in shoulders and top. I do like the coat and will have to decide whether or not to go back to the L and deal with the snuggness when I'm layering, or just swim a little in the XL. Zipper is a little better on this XL than it was on the L, so the wonky zipper problem may depend on the individual item. Due to the reviews here saying the coat ran large, I ordered a size L instead of my usual XL. The coat was okay if I were wearing a Tshirt, but with a winter sweater it was too small. Hence, I'd say this coat is true to size. I returned for an XL as I liked the coat a lot. The Zipper is not great, as most reviewers say, but if you are gentle with it, it will work. The coat is not bulky but it's warm and comfortable, and the faux fur trim around the neck is great. The color I ordered was "Kale" and I'm not sure why it's called "Kale" as it's far more brown than green. There is just a hint of green in the brown, like someone put a dab of forest green into a pile of regular brown paint. It's mostly brownish. But the color isn't bad. I just hope the XL is not too large, as the L was only slightly small on me. Again, I'm usually an XL so this does not 'run small'. I have another London Fog coat (a wool coat) and that is XL and fits well. ... show more

This is a quality, well-made coat. I am 5' 8", 150 lbs, generally wear a 10-12, mediums and larges. I ordered the large, and I am happy with the fit. Length wise, it just touches the tops of my knee caps, so the lady in the picture must be about 5'11". :) The torso is somewhat roomy, but perfect if you want to wear a heavy sweater underneath. I need the size large for arm length and across the back of my shoulders, which is perfect. I have not seen any down coming out of any seams anywhere, as some of the other reviewers have mentioned. The tag inside the coat does state that it is normal for some down to come out when you are talking about a real down product. The tags inside the coat say you can wash this coat gentle cycle, cold water, tumble dry low "with three clean tennis balls" to return the down to original loft. This coat is nice and warm, and the fur collar adds just the right amount of softness and extra warmth around your neck. This is one of the best purchases I've made in a while. :) ... show more
