So yes, this coat does run a little large so go down a size and you will still be able to wear your winter sweaters underneath. It is heavy, not a thin wool so it will keep you warm. I don't live up north but I get cold super easy and this coat keeps me warm. We have not had many super cold days but it did get down to 30 degrees several days.

I've been looking for a classic navy peacoat, and this, finally, is the one. I was worried that the "sapphire" color would be a very bright blue, but the other reviews that describe it as navy were correct. I'd say it's like navy without the black undertones. I am a size 10 on top and size 12 on bottom, and usually fall between a medium and large in coats (where medium is usually too tight in the hips and large is too big in the shoulders). However, the large in this coat fits me perfectly. It's very nicely tailored as expected from London Fog. No shoulder pads like other peacoats I tried and sent back for that reason. Nice weight, probably not warm enough for the coldest winter weather, but I'm sure I'll wear it on winter days in the 30's. Highly recommended, especially at this price!

I LOVE THIS COAT!! I recently saw at a Burlington near me and they only had 2x which is the size I normally wear. But it was too big and they didn’t have a 1x. So I decided to look on Amazon for a 1x. It was $30 more on Amazon but it fits perfectly, so I didn’t mind paying more. It is the perfect coat. A person mentioned they felt it was too thin. It is not to me. It has a great weight. Thick enough to keep you warm on cold winter days! I can’t say enough good things about the coat. It looks like it was custom made for me. It’s a classy, well made coat. I sized down. I normally take a 2x, but the 2x was huge and I was swimming in it. So decided to see if Amazon had it in a 1x. I was ecstatic when I saw they did and it fits great, is warm, classy and just the best coat ever!!
