Here's the thing: Just buy it. Lagoon & Terracotta is ridiculously gorgeous and soft and pretty. It's insanely soft and gorgeous. It *is* "printed" on pattern, but, at this price you will be shocked by how gorgeous and realistic looking it is (like a faded vintage carpet, as viewed from about 5 feet 4 inches above ground level). Unlike the ones that are prevalent right now (printed on, flat, woven-kinda-flat surface) this is actually a pile, I'm gonna estimate quarter inch, that is printed on. But somehow, it is so crazy-gorgeous-soft and realistic looking -- I'm actually going to keep it and order more! Look -- you can return it if you don't love it! But you will love it. The pictures don't do it justice. The blue that appears dark navy in the photo is actually a beautiful intense teal color and the terracotta is perfect (like a terracotta planter on your patio). I could not get a picture that accurately depicts colors. And the softness --- you have to literally step on it to understand. Keeper!!! P.S. Your critters will LOVE this carpet :-D rolling, rubbing their faces, sleeping, refusing to move from... it's that good. ... show more

No, this is not a traditional woven rug! But who says that is the only way to make a rug? The pattern is transferred onto the top of the rug and it does not go down the length of the pile. This may be an issue with wear and tear. However, this rug is so, so soft on your feet. I have it on my landing, outside of my daughters' bathroom. When you walk barefoot from the bathroom to the bedroom, you immediately notice and appreciate the softness. It is well-made and the colors are muted, but the pattern is distinct. Very classy looking. I really like it. I wish I had bought a slightly larger one, but that is my fault for not laying something on the floor with the same dimensions to visually see the coverage. this rug is better than I was expecting especially for the price! It’s so soft and I don’t have to buy a rug pad for underneath which I figured I would. The colors are beautiful and are the perfect fit for under my cream colored couch. Unfortunately my dog peed on the rug right after I put it down but I’m happy to say that the mess stayed on top and didn’t absorb into it making it very easy to clean up. I didn’t realize this was “cloud pile” also I didn’t know what that meant. What it means is this rug is heavenly soft. I got a giant size for the living room and it’s cozy and neutral but also manages to contain lovely browns blues and greens. No shedding, no pilling and no loss of softness in the 3 months I’ve had it. If I ever decide to swap this rug out it will be for another loloi cloud pile rug. ... show more

This rug is AMAZING. It is so beautiful, it is so soft, it is super easy to clean (vacuum). We bought the antique sage and it is pretty neutral. It does not pull too warm either. All of our guest have complimented on it. The only negative I would say is that the pattern is almost like a print on the fibers but it isn't super noticeable unless you are examining it up close. I was skeptical to buy this rugs. My other area rugs are from pottery barn and Ballard designs. I was pleasantly surprised! It’s thin, but that’s okay… it’s so soft and the colors are beautiful. This is a statement piece and I would highly recommend it.

    • Super soft pile and good looking

Short, silky, synthetic pile with the design printed on the surface of the pile. For an almost 8x10 rug it is light and weighs just under 20 lbs so it was easy to carry and lay it out by myself. The backing isn't rigid and mine arrived without creases. Edges and corners lay perfectly flat. I like that this rug can be professionally cleaned as inexpensive rugs often cannot be cleaned other than spot cleaned. I haven't had to spot clean anything yet so I don't know how easily it cleans up but it is synthetic and probably won't hold onto spills if you get right to it. Mine measured true to size within 1/2 inch. It's so hard to get an accurate color rendition from online and mine is somewhat warmer/more golden than it looked online but not a deal breaker for me. It's perfect for my needs and I'm glad I bought it. I paired it with the RUGPADUSA Basics 1/4" thick felt pad in 8x10 size and easily cut it to size.
