I have walnut stained hardwood floors and I am happy to report that this rug has very minimal shedding and deep down I knew this is the style and color rug I needed in my space. This rug is beautiful, well-made, and has a great texture. I really wanted to love it. Unfortunately, the shedding was absolutely out of control. No matter how much I vacuumed, wool fibers were constantly coming off the rug and spreading throughout my home. Shortly after bringing this rug into my house, my cats began experiencing severe symptoms, including constant sneezing, runny noses, watery eyes, red eyes, and general irritation. After multiple vet visits and spending hundreds of dollars trying to identify the cause, I started eliminating possible triggers in my home. Once I removed the rug, my cats improved dramatically and their symptoms significantly decreased. I can’t say with certainty that the rug was the cause, but it was the only change in my home, and removing it made a noticeable difference almost immediately. The excessive shedding certainly did not help. To make matters worse, returning the rug has been a frustrating process because of its size and the amount of loose wool fibers it continues to release. What started as a beautiful addition to my home turned into a stressful and expensive experience. If you have pets, especially sensitive cats, I would be cautious. While the rug looks great, the extreme shedding and the issues I experienced make it impossible for me to recommend. ... show more

Absolutely beautiful. Love the wool material and the perfect entryway statement design on our floor. With any wool rug, there are going to be imperfect threads due to how it is woven and some woven areas may be thicker or thinner. When looking at the rug, if you focus on the entire rug and not a little imperfection here and there, you will see how stunning it is. ... show more

Read the reviews and we were torn, ended up buying a large rug, in the beige/green coloring and are satisfied with the rug. You get what you pay for and for the price, I don’t think you can do better. Rug is in our entry way/family room and gets decent wear, it does shed and I wouldn’t feel comfortable with a baby crawling around on it and putting items into their mouth with the fuzz. Pro: Has a decent pad/thickness to it. Easy to clean. Cheap. Modern design Con: we vacuum it every night/ every other night and get about 1 cup worth of “fuzz” from the carpet. We also have dark flooring and if you look closely you can notice these fibers/fuzz but they don’t bother us. Overall I’d purchase it again. ... show more

Nice rug, I do have to say it sheds quite a bit & if I sit on it in leggings / pajama pants it is very itchy / prickly. I’ve vacuumed it at least 10 times and every time it fills my vacuum canister half way through the 8x10 rug.. hoping it softens/ eventually stops shedding. May purchase a rug cleaner to see if that helps at all. Beautiful rug just upset with quality as it’s for my son’s nursery and I don’t see how we can sit / play on the rug with how much it sheds. ... show more

I really like the rug. It’s thick and a beautiful design. But I’m positive I got a used one. Creases down the middle that I’m still trying to get out (laid it out October 8th, it is now October 22nd) there are still creases. The corners are still duct taped down because they keep lifting. The rug also came with stains. After paying 500$ with no guarantee I’d get a full refund I decided to keep the rug and do my best to bring it back to life as it is a good quality piece. Just wish I had received a brand new rug. The jute is lifted in several areas as well. So it looks like snags all over the rug . Trying to fix those as well. Overall a beautiful rug, just expect a used one.. many reviews warned me, so I’m warning you too . ... show more
