I've had many Logitech mice over the years I've really loved that were then discontinued. This is a long running mouse that pretty much ALL logitech users just love! And since it's long in the tooth, I'd recommend stocking up while you can. Here's some of the perks, but above all else, it feels so amazing! 1. It's a smallish, very light, simple mouse. I personally don't like the giant gaming mice. This has everything I need, including a scroll wheel you can click between smooth and ratcheted mode. 2. Uses 1 or 2 AA batteries - This gives it incredible battery life - many months at least. And when you do need to replace batteries, it's instant. I keep a pair in my backpack. So much more convenient than having to charge a rechargeable mouse, especially given rechargeable batteries slowly wear out. 3. Works like a dream on Macs with no drivers installed at all! 4. You can stash the wireless USB receiver dongle inside the mouse! Which is priceless. Note that nowadays, I have an Apple Silicon Mac, I have to use a tiny adapter to plug the dongle into a USB-C port. But it's still tiny and convenient. 5. For me, Logitech still hasn't made anything better. I'd love to see a mouse almost like this with a USB-C receiver, but until then, it's as close as it gets to my perfect mouse. This mouse exceeded my expectations. It’s very comfortable to use, has great precision, and the connection is fast and stable. I love the ergonomic design, and the size is perfect for daily use. The clicking is smooth and quiet. Highly recommended for work or study!

I bought my original M705 mouse ~15 years ago and it worked flawlessly 40 hours a week the entire time. It finally died and I loved it so much that I bought another one. I have no doubt this one will last another 15 years. It fits my hand perfectly and I love that it has a thumb rest. The heavy weight is perfect. I hate cheap lightweight mice. Battery life is incredible, generally around a year in my experience. The programmable buttons are great and make repetitive tasks much faster. The fast scroll ability is very handy. The button clicks are not annoyingly loud and feel great to the touch. ... show more

    • Decent mouse for the price, not ergo friendly though
The Logitech M705 is a decent mouse. The build quality feels better than other brands in this price point that I have tried but it's obviously not as great as their flagship MX Master series. It works perfectly fine for general use and productivity. This is not a gaming mouse by any means. As for the ergonomics of it, the slight angle that it sits at is supposed to relieve pressure on the wrist more so than "traditional" mice, however I don't notice any difference. Placing my hand on a traditional mouse vs. this one and I don't see/feel any difference in the angle at which my hand/wrist lay. It's not bad, it just doesn't feel different than a regular mouse. My only complaint is the scroll wheel option. You can press the button for a "clicky" scroll where you can feel each "bump" as you scroll the wheel or depress it for a smooth experience. I like the smooth roll but when lifting the mouse slightly to reposition it on the desk it's enough motion for the webpage or document you're working on to suddenly scroll. This could just be an issue with my mouse, your mileage may vary. ... show more

    • Comfortable, batteries last, durable after a couple years
With somewhat large hands, this mouse has a nice size and feel to it. Going from smaller, travel mouses, this one has some weight to it that I didn't know I needed. Batteries seem to last in it as well. I probably only need to change them 2 or 3 times per year. On the downside, this mouse has a button to switch between fast and normal scrolling with the wheel. I had another mouse with fast scrolling that I really liked, but this one doesn't feel intuitive. The fast scrolling feels "slippery". On normal scroll the mouse is perfect, except that button that switches scroll speed is right in the center. It doesn't depress so easily that it is frustrating, but I've hit it on accident on occasion (once thinking my scroll wheel was broken because I forgot it had that feature, since I never use fast scroll). I would definitely but it again, but first look for an identical Logitech mouse without the fast scroll switch. ... show more

Well, it's big and takes some getting used to if you are used to a normal size mouse. But once you do, you won't go back. Great feel in the hand, precise scrolling and you can tilt the wheel right and left to scroll right and left on the screen. It's a great mouse.

I've purchased a few of these and they're pretty good. First, I have a medium size hand and this mouse feels right. I do enjoy the ability to have a screen wheel that is normal ("detent-y") as well as resistance-free (conceptually) to fly through long scrolling events (like excessively long web pages that insist you scroll-scroll-scroll-scroll-scroll-scroll-scroll-scroll-scroll-scroll-scroll-scroll-...) The only negative is that the rubber section on the left size where your thumb goes will eventually get soft and wear out leaving a hole. I solved that on mine by adding a piece of copper tape to cover it before it wears through. So if the size suits you, BT recommends ... show more
