I have both the regular keyboard and now this flex keyboard. Although I like the regular keyboard, this flex keyboard definitely is superior. The haptic trackpad is better. The pen is always available for use (although there are strengths to the hidden pen in the regular keyboard). It is nice to be able to use the keyboard attached or unattached using Bluetooth. The tablet recognized the keyboard right away and connected it to Bluetooth. It charged correctly. Thus far, I have no problems using it connected or unattached via Bluetooth. It is black, so it does not match my tablet color, but the black looks good as a contrasting color to it. I hesitated to purchase it because Amazon messed up my initial order for the regular keyboard, (and the tablet), and they both got sent back to Amazon undeliverable. But this keyboard order happily came without any problems and actually came early. Also, those who complain it does not come with a pen, it tells you in the description that it has a place for the pen, not the actual pen itself. Do your research. That is why it is less expensive than the pen model. You must already have your own pen. Also, I was able to purchase a keyboard cover specifically for the Flex keyboard to protect it. ... show more

When I first bought my SP, I wanted to make sure I had the best experience possible. It is an expensive keyboard, sure.. but I find myself using my SP A LOT with the keyboard detached and on my lap (ironically as I write this review it is on my lap.) It is very sturdy and pairs instantly with the SP. Copilot isn't an absolute necessity for me, but it is cool to have. Battery life is great and the keyboard feels well when I type. The wake and sleep functionality works great as well. The pen tray is a HUGE addition to the selling point. I feel better knowing that my pen is safely secured inside the device when not in use. I strongly recommend spending the extra money. The keyboard is worth it!! ... show more

Works perfect and will save you a ton of money when you catch them on sale. Same keyboard from M$ is almost 500$ under the guide of "Business Edition" I bought both and side by side there are no differences. Compare stats they are the same thing.

Connectivity Issues have seemed to plague it, but recent updates have made it much better, I really like being able to remove it, it’s definitely more flexible than the non removable version.

Worked great for a little over 12 months. I LOVED IT. Then started having intermittent charging issues. then it only charges intermittently. And when it is connected to SP, it rapidly connects and disconnects. Makes it unusable unless using bluetooth. Also, wakes it up from sleep and keeps it awake. And then it stopped connecting and charging completely. 3rd party keyboards, here I come!!! ... show more

Works great just as expected. Pen and keyboard charge last a very long time. Battery life good, Responsiveness to the typing and input is great. It is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for.
