Surprised with how much I like this keyboard given the cheap price. It does feel a lot like the apple keyboard when typing, and I've had no issues with connecting, even to multiple devices. It is very small and portable. It fits perfectly in my mac mini case to use as a portable keyboard when I travel with it. I also use it to type on my ipad and works great for that as well. I actually use a very old full sized wired apple keyboard as my main keyboard at home as I like have the number keys on the side, but I can type just as fast on this keyboard when I am out and about ... show more

So we have been an @pple family for 30+ years. Both my small, handy, @pple keyboards died within a week of each other. I love the little ones because they fit into my bag easily. So I went browsing and found this little gem. For probably a tenth of the price of replacing the @apple one, I now have what amounts to the exact same keyboard. It takes triple As instead of double As, can be turned off to save battery (unlike the @pple which continues to use power till it shuts itself off after however many battery-draining minutes). It paired in a snap. It looks exactly like the @pple keyboard. The tactile sensation and key response is, imo, better than the @pple’s. It’s lighter!! It has exactly the same fn and key command icons which respond perfectly. I can’t think of a downside at the moment, but I will return with an update if anything disappoints me. But for twenty bucks, I can’t be too disappointed if it only lasts a year. ... show more

    • Lightweight and Functional - Perfect for the Overworked College Student!

As a university student, taking notes is one of the most important factors. I usually prefer to handwrite notes, but when I began having issues with my wrist due to the excessive amounts of notes I have to take, I decided it was time to type them. My laptop has been on the fritz for a while due to its age, thus making my iPad my primary source of note-taking. Anyone with a touch screen phone can attest to the horrors of long form typing on one, and I figured that buying a bluetooth keyboard was my best bet for optimal note taking ability. After reviewing several different keyboards, I decided on this OMOTON Bluetooth Keyboard based on its reviews and price. After receiving the product and using it for a while, I have to say I am quite pleased. The keyboard is very slim and light weight so it doesn't add much to my already stuffed bookbag. The keyboard takes batteries, which is sort of a downside (I would prefer if it could be rechargeable) but is really not a big deal as I usually have some laying around. The keyboard itself is very clean and nice looking, silver with white keys in the style of an Apple brand laptop, and looks nice with my iPad. The bluetooth connected easily just following the instructions in the box and the typing is quick. When I'm not using it I just switch it off and it conserves the battery very well (it will also auto-off if you let it sit for a while, which can be "woken up" by pressing and holding any key). Although I am overall very pleased with the product and will continue to use it for ages, there are a few little issues. One thing which may bother some consumers is that they keyboard has a very "clicky" sound when you type on it. This does not bother me personally as I actually quite like that sound, but may bother some who are trying to take more discrete notes in a business or more intimate setting. Another and more major issue for me is that sometimes the keys stick. In this instance you may end up with a line of "K"s all the way along your page that you have to delete. It's not the biggest deal but can be annoying when I'm trying to keep up with a mile-a-minute lecture. Overall I am extremely pleased with the product and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a portable, lightweight bluetooth keyboard. ... show more

UPDATE on November 3 My problems with this keyboard have been resolved. The replacement is working perfectly. Amazon replaced it quickly when I complained about the problem and the new keyboard works just as well as the one I owned before I dumped a beer on it. The vendor was also monitoring my situation and quickly offered to replace the defective unit. But Amazon had already taken care of the problem. When I read reviews from people who diss a product because they happened tp get one with a manufacturing defect I get annoyed. Every manufactured product has a small chance of failing. What is important is customer service and how quickly the problem can be resolved. In this case both Amazon and the vendor were on top of the situation as soon as they heard about it. Companies that sell $15 keyboards can not afford many warranty claims. They have to design their products so that the failure rate is very low or they wont make any money. That is why I have had such good experience , with inexpensive electronic devices. They cant afford to build them to mil spec standards, like a satellite that is going to be put in orbit, so there will be occasional failures. In my experience they are few and far between and that's where customer service comes into play. If, in the very unlikely chance, that I get a defective unit, prompt attention to the problem can resolve it painlessly. I had this exact same model for many months before I accidentally destroyed it by pouring a beer on it. When I needed a new keyboard I tried another model what was rechargeable. That seemed like a good idea but the charges did not last nearly as long at the AAA batteries on this keyboard and I had to be somewhere with a USB port when it failed or I was out of business. With this keyboard I just need to keep a couple of AAA batteries with my traveling stuff and I can be back in business in seconds. This is a good keyboard. Its light, easy to pair with devices, the keys have a nice feel (but that is a very personal thing) and the battery life is good. I use it with my phone and tablet. ************************************************ What follows is my initial review I have had this keyboard for a couple of months and am having problems with the repeating characters for several rows of text. If I turn it off and turn it back on the problem goes away for a while. Im going to contact the vendor and see if they can do anything about the problem or if there is something I am doing wrong. First of all, ITS PURPLE so it’s already the best. It’s sleek and simple and no loud clickity clackity key noise, which is what I prefer and is very similar to the MAC keyboard. Great quality and no lagging issues.

I'm only using it for a couple hours a day. This is going to get really annoying really quick. BUT it's a great size, the keys are clicky and responsive and DON'T SKIP like other cheapie keyboards. I'm torn. Is it a defective keyboard? How are other users getting MONTHS of use out of 1 set of batteries??? ... show more
