  • Great for my flight sim
Style: Yoke Only
I use this yoke and quadrant for a flight simulator called Infinite Flight that is only available on iOS and android. So to make it work I use a Samsung DexPad that treats my samsung phone like a PC - I'm able to plug it into the DeX so I can use the yoke and quadrant system. It's well made and nice and responsive to my needs - it doesnt require a lot of power so I'm able to use it without having it plugged into a power outlet. The material is nice, but my only concern is the quadrant sticks, the plastic feels like if you push hard it'll break. I haven't done that yet and I dont think most people would do that, other than that concern the rest of the build material is great. For the price it's definitely worth it and I think I got really good value. I reccomend it to anyone that wants to get started in flight simulators ... show more

  • Great for 9 months. Not so much, now! But Logitech stands behind their products!
Style: Yoke Only
It is known that people who are completely satisfied with their products seldom write reviews unless provided incentives to do so. I have NOT been provided any incentives, other than the desire to honestly inform others about what my product experience has been to date with this Logitech-Saitek yoke assembly. Hopefully, that will explain why I have not written ANY review of this product until now. I have had a great record of success with both Amazon and their various product manufacturers standing behind their merchandise. I hope that I can write a follow-up to this review stating that this record has not been broken. I purchased the Logitech-Saitek flight simulator yoke & throttle assembly a little over 8 months ago. It has performed flawlessly, until recently. Now the return springs for 2 of the thumb switches on the right handle of the yoke (B&C) have become weak and sticky and sometimes do not return to their respective null positions. In my set-up this means that I don't always know if the landing gear have retracted or extended. The same goes for the flaps. I hoped that perhaps they might get better, but like most mechanical issues - they have NOT gotten better with time. Although no longer covered by Amazon's free return policy, the system is still under the 1-year manufacturer's warranty. So, I do not intend to disassemble the yoke handle to further examine the problem until I have heard back from the manufacturer. I hope that Logitech will offer me a satisfactory solution. Updated, 25 October 2019: I contacted Logitech support and filed an email complaint. After explaining the situation I was experiencing, they requested that I take a short video of the problem(s), including the serial number of the system and submit to them. After doing that they then requested that I destroy the old yoke and quadrant assembly, (Probably to discourage re-selling/re-purposing the defective units.) and provide proof of same. I cut the cables off each device, took 3 photos of each with a hand written identification note displayed clearly in each and sent them back to Logitech. A little over a week later I received a brand-new (not refurbished) flight yoke and throttle quadrant system. I couldn't say more about what a positive experience this was. Logitech clearly understands the meaning of "Customer Service"! Thank you, Logitech! ... show more

  • Quite Useful and reasonably priced.
Style: Yoke Only
I am impressed with the quality of this unit. I had used CH Products yoke and TQ for a few years and the design of the Saitek is superior. The mounting systems are much easier to accommodate different desk configurations and the units are solidly built. I especially appreciate that the yoke has a flat top to the central unit and a metal shaft. The 3 mode switch makes for a large variety of button assignments increasing the utility of the yoke and throttles. ... show more

  • This yoke is perfect for everybody.
Style: Yoke Only
This particular yoke, the standard of most aviation enthusiasts and flight simulation hobbyists, is a perfect yoke for those who willingly want to switch from a simple joystick to a fully-fledged, basic yoke and throttle quadrant system. The deadzone is near non-existant with the recent updates from Logitech, (no longer Saitek) and the only issues I have is the sudden shift of center that happens occasionally when I leave it plugged in for a while. The throttle quadrant is perfect and the yoke itself is stable and sturdy, able to do all simple flight manuevers, the material is durable and lasts for a very long time, but a small problem when you have sweaty hands. The only restriction is the 45 degrees of turn when you turn it left or right, and the small detent when you let go of the yoke. The pitching system is perfect, and there are many configurable buttons and switches. The only difficulty many would face is the lack of precision, but nonetheless it is workable. The included clampers are a great help as well, when you don't want to move your yoke everywhere. The added function of a timer and clock is useful for timing and for general purposes in real life situations. Basically, don't fall into the hate given to this yoke. It has changed a lot from the start and is more reliable nowadays, as a functional and fixable yoke for all to enjoy. I use it everyday ever since I got it and it is perfect!! 4 out of 5. Perfect gift. ... show more

  • Great addition to my fight sim experience
Style: Yoke Only
Install of the drivers was a bit challenging; I had to do quite a bit of googling to figure out how to make things work properly. This aspect should be streamlined and thought out more. Nonetheless, when the unit failed less than a month after I received it, the company exchange it for a new unit for free, no questions asked. Hopefully the new unit will last longer. It's very fun to fly with, much better than a joystick. ... show more

  • A Must for X-Plane 11 Users
Style: Yoke Only
Used with X-Plane 11 Beta - Out of the box. Plug it in. Calibrate. Fly. Works great. I have been a pilot since 1980 and own a small single engine aircraft. With this yoke & throttle system it's almost as realistic as actually flying. The controls operate smoothly and effectively. The switches on the yoke control pitch trim, roll trim and flaps. They also control the view out of the aircraft (front, side & rear). I have only used it for one day, but I really like it. Couldn't be easier. ... show more

  • Saitek FLight Yoke is Very Real - The SOftware and Drivers from others didn't match for us
Style: Yoke Only
The Saitek Panels are rock solid. Well made and are designed to integrate into a very real console. We had problems getting the software we wanted to use them on to recognize the devices and after hours and hours of trying we ran ou of patience and returned everything. But I must say - Saitek makes a good product. Also while writing - the process of returning for full credit was flawless. Thank you Amazon. Make me glad I bought here ... show more

  • Affordable but flawed
Style: Yoke Only
Throttle quadrant - Nice. About as good as one can expect a plastic unit to be. Yoke - Not terrible but know what you're getting. If you looking at this thinking it will provide more control precision than a good joystick then you will be disappointed, as I was. Pitch and roll travel is decent with reasonably linear spring action. Although the springs are a bit too heavy for my taste. This causes some stability problems when I need full ranges of motion due to the minimalist table mounting "hardware" (plastic). If you can you'll probably want to provide a more secure mounting than what comes out of the box. The main issue I have with the yoke is that there is a critical loss of precision with the pitch when it crosses the middle detent. The dead zone is so pronounced that I was prepared to blast the product for using 2 pots for left side and right side. This would've been the cheap way out versus a more complicated mechanical arrangement and some extra firmware logic for a single pot axis. However when I opened the unit I in fact found only a single pot for the full pitch range of motion. That's good, but the mechanism appears to have the mechanical losses perhaps to be expected by a mass produced plastic toy. The result though is self-defeating. If you're serious about flight sim then you know that runway threshold approaches are where control accuracy near the detent is needed most, but because of this clumsy mechanism I don't see how it performs any better than an average joystick and in fact I have better control using an Xbox controller. So in the end I don't really see any point in using this yoke at all except for aesthetics. For maybe $20 extra manufacturing cost for a few aluminum parts and metal bearings to replace the plastic where it really counts and this could've been a 5-star product in my judgement. I'll be looking for another brand for my next one. ... show more
