First off, these look so much better than the factory Kia crossbars and the price tag is much better ;) they were very easy to install and looks solid. They have done a good job holding our cargo box and have done well in 70mph. 10/10 would recommend!!

Easy install. Two Allen wrenches come in the package. Other than that you just need a Philips Head screwdriver. I was worried without any reviews that there would be an issue with interference to the panoramic sunroof on my 23 Kia Sportage x-line phev. The combination of the inside clamp being narrow and contacting high on the rail made for plenty of clearance to the sunroof motion. Some cheaper options online looked like they would be too chunky to leave clearance to the sunroof. I did do a dry run fit check assuring plenty of clearance before attaching the actual cross bar. I wish there was just a bit more of a lip on the underside of the clamp. I know mechanically it shouldn't need it, but my over design side says why not make it even more robust. It also wasn't 100% obvious but when attaching the clamps they are biased up so that little lip is just contacting the underside of the rail. I can accept that though as one of the product pictures in the description showed this biased up. I have only installed, have not added any load. But so far it seams very reasonable and I would recommend for this vehicle. ... show more

This rack fits perfectly and looks good on my sportage xline. I put my rhino nautical stacker on them and hauled three kayaks with ease. Keep in mind that three ten foot kayaks is the max that this rack can hold, given the length of the bars and weight limit.

Assembly is not for the faint of heart. I almost returned it after the clip and rod came apart during length adjustment, and could not be put back together, but after I fully disassembled the set to return it, suddenly it became possible to put the parts back together again, so I decided to give it a second try and then succeeded. It was not as easy as manufacturer’s roof rack (it does fit the Kia Sportage PHEV Xline, but not without adjusting the rack’s length which is a somewhat delicate process), but it seems to be sturdy, does have enough clearance for the panoramic sunroof, and it’s less than half the price of Kia’s own roof rack. ... show more

I first left a one star review with complaints of a broken lock. I am now updating that review. We got the crossbars secured to my car. However, we discovered that the entire locking mechanisms will easily pull out when trying to remove the key from the unlocked position. We got the locking mechanisms back in place and is secured in the lock position. Could be a design flaw. The bars do seem secure. We haven't tried them out just yet, but they do look good on the car. ... show more
