This is way more locks than I needed but it's a good price for all you get. The dial rotates smoothly. I didn't have a problem setting the numbers. Opened on the first try. Each one comes with it's own combination. I like that they are red, tells yours apart from someone else's. These are small, so they will fit small locks or a locker. No industrial stuff. Numbers are easy to read. No complaints at all.

How excited can one really get about a padlock? Yes, it does it's job on the locker and it's easier to find because it has a red face. I wouldn't use it to protect the crown jewels, but for normal everyday stuff in a gym locker or craft club locker, it meets the need. There are eight to a box so you've got plenty to share and the price works out to about $3.50 each.

I ordered these locks in anticipation of securing some belongings in a foot locker/trunk in my landlord’s garage temporarily. I’ve used locks like this throughout my entire life, so they’re pretty easy to navigate for me. I didn’t end up needing them after all for that purpose but I did two to secure some belongings at work. These are perfect for any similar/low security scenario. They each have their own unique combinations which are on a removable sticker on the back of each lock. The red turnplate helps me easily distinct my locker quicker and easier in a line of mostly combination locks with a black turnplate. The price for a large quantity of these is a more economical way to stock up on something like this should you have a need for an item like this ($28 for a pack of eight locks at the time of writing this review). Typically, this retail for approximately $5 each when purchasing individually. Overall, I’m very satisfied with these and will definitely be able to find a use for most of them!

I ordered 2 sets, one blue pack and one red pack. All the locks in the blue were fine. I began using the red pack and half of them are broken 😩😤

They lock securely and are easy to operate. The spin knob turns easily and they have different combinations. I have them on some tough boxes at work that I needed to secure.

Do NOT buy these! Not worth anything! The package of 8 locks arrived today in a box. They were not individually packaged. Each lock has a sticker on the back with the combination for that lock on it. Those stickers took some scrubbing to get off. I can see not wanting to have the combination come off the lock, but nobody wants to leave the combination on permanently. One by one I installed each of the 8 locks. One of the locks did not open with the combination. Two other locks I could pull open after they were locked! Three bad of eight so far. Another lock busted apart when I tried to open it. No way I would trust the remaining four to protect anything. I would NOT recommend these locks to anyone that wants to keep stuff safe.

The media could not be loaded. Upon receiving the pack of 8 Standard Dial Combination Locks, the immediate impression is functional, not fancy. The red turnplate offers a visual contrast that is practical and easily distinguishable, likely designed with high-use environments in mind. These locks feature a preset three-digit combination, keyless convenience, and a 2-inch wide body. The size and simplicity stand out, catering to common security needs for lockers and storage. The inclusion of eight locks per pack indicates these are intended for multi-user settings like schools or gyms. The user experience is straightforward; if you’ve used a combination lock before, the operation is intuitive. For first-timers, the initial setup might require some attention, but the instructions are clear. The process of recording and wiping the preset password is essential, but also where the user could encounter difficulty if not followed carefully. The locks perform their intended function adequately. They provide a basic level of security for personal items, which is what you would expect from a standard combination lock. They’re not high-security devices but serve well for deterring casual theft in low-risk environments. Compared to other locks in the same category, these don’t boast any advanced features or particularly robust construction, but their simplicity and affordability are advantageous. They hold their own in terms of ease of use and reliability. In terms of value for money, these locks are cost-effective, especially in bulk. The price point seems reasonable for their functionality and the convenience of having multiple locks with different combinations. The positives include ease of use, visual distinction with the red turnplate, and the practicality of the pack size. An area of improvement could be the materials used; a sturdier build would enhance security. In conclusion, these Standard Dial Combination Locks are recommended for anyone needing a basic, reliable locking mechanism for personal storage in low-security situations. Ideal for school lockers, gym lockers, or simple storage cases, they meet the needs of users looking for straightforward functionality without a hefty price tag. The spartan design and functionality reflect their utility-focused intent.

I was looking for a lock to use at the gym. I really liked that these came in an eight pack so that I could have some spares. Upon receiving them, my husband was able to figure out the combination without even looking at it. This makes me really uneasy, because if he could do it, anyone could. I don't feel that these locks are secure. The quality of these locks are only mediocre. I don't feel that they are worth the hassle.
