This was an excellent jacket when I first bought it in 2017. I wore it for a few years, but then I gained some weight after having a kid and couldn’t wear it again until recently (2026). I rejoiced after putting it on and it fit! However, I wore it outside for a little while and didn’t realize that it was disintegrating. Don’t get me wrong, this was a great jacket for the price, but don’t expect to pass it down to your kids. ;) ... show more

I'm extremely picky when it comes to jackets and while I loved the way this one looked, I was a bit worried about purchasing this jacket, since some reviewers said that the jacket was shorter than they wanted. To be safe, I decided to size up two sizes, I like jackets to be loose fitting, and I figured a bigger size would have a longer length. I got a size 2XL and it was perfect. It wasn't short at all, it rests just above my hips, which is the perfect length. It also looks great on me, it's form fitting and isn't boxy. This is also very comfortable and versatile for both warm and cool weather. I really like how the hood is attached with a zipper, past jackets like this that I've had are attached with buttons or snaps and they have a tendency to get undone throughout the day, and I doubt I'll have that problem with this jacket, so there's another plus. The quality of the jacket seems pretty high as well, I imagine it'll last for a while. For sizing comments, I'm 5'7", 34" waist, an athletic build, and wear a 38D. I usually wear a size L/XL shirt. Again, I got a 2XL solely because I like my jackets to be a little loose and I wanted the extra length on the bottom. It certainly doesn't run that small. It was a little smaller than I had anticipated for a XXL, so I would say to size up just to be safe, but I don't think it's a very significant change from your regular size. ... show more

Body shot attached below! 10/17/16 UPDATE: Sized up to a large. Hood IS removable along edge of front zipper* EXCELLENT product. Please review photographs below. Description is in my opinion for Asian sizing, and the LINING where the hood comes out adds extra inches in sweatshirt material, which is somewhat misleading, because if you're like me, you may not always want to wear it with the hood with the extra inches of sweatshirt lining inside of the item. You may just want to wear the coat by itself. That's why I had to process a return when I didn't really want to because I didn't want to necessarily wear the item with the hood in it. Otherwise everything is intact and the item is exactly As depicted it in the photograph. It really appears as though it's real leather and my item did not smell strange at all as others indicated. PREVIOUS REVIEW: I love this jacket! However: CONS: I am 5 foot one, athletic, 140 lbs, muscular, 36D, 28 natural waist, 38 hips, and I normally wear a medium and this item did not fit in the chest area correctly. I was wearing an un padded sports bra and I measure 34 inches across the widest part of my chest with a slack tape measure, but the items description as do some of the reviews say that this item runs slightly large? I doubt this very much. The quality of the item is excellent though. I totally didn't want to return this! I love it so much style-wise I'm going to give it another shot - just sizing up, once my refund is processed. Hopefully it will be very soon. these things run EXTREMELY oversized. I ordered an xs and it was still way too big.. is this for elephants? Too big on the armpits. Too big and wide on the arms itself. Too big on the waist. Everything else is fine— It’s comfortable, but please size down. Or size up if you want to drown. Be prepared to look stupid if you have small boobs. 😒 ... show more

I did not expect to love this as much as I do. I have a hard time finding jackets. A lot of the cheap sellers charts aren't accurate for me - and by accurate I mean they are usually swimming on me and to be honest, I want fitted in a leather jacket. I have, however, have a pretty good experience with the Made By Johnny brand and that's what the tag of this jacket says in the picture. I ordered this one (WJC663_CAMEL) and also a gray one in a slightly different style by Downtown Coalition (WJC664_GRAY). I ended up keeping the camel coat because it fit so much better and I disliked the shirt style collar on the gray (just not flattering on me). I also prefer the smoother color of the faux leather on the camel. The gray coat had more of a dappled color on it. The gray was also overall a bit bigger on both jackets were XS. I am 5'2 and my measurements are 34-25.5-35.5. I weigh about 112lbs. This jacket is perfectly fitted on me! It looks like a slightly cropped, slim fitting leather jacket, exactly what I had been look for. I was ecstatic. I have short limbs too being petite and these were also perfectly in proportion. One last thing, the jacket was VERY squeaky when I put it on. Did not have that problem with the gray jacket, but this one was just downright loud. It's the plastic material rubbing against itself. I put some coconut oil all over the jacket and rubbed it in, and left it to soak in. The squeak was gone 10 minutes later. Powder will work on the same principle, but I prefer oils since I feel it gives a "patina" look to the faux leather that lends to a more realistic leather look, since leather should look supple. ETA: I wore it out today and got a lot of compliments! Great neutral color and a sassy look both zipped and unzipped. To add some additional info: - The inner hood can be zipped out. The side pockets for your hands are functional, but on the small side - I can fit about 90% of my iphone 6 in it - about a centimeter on the top sticks out. The pockets are also placed a bit awkwardly placed to get my hands into them and the zippers stick, one more than the other, especially when fully closed. I just leave that one a little unzipped. -The two pockets on your chest unzip but aren't functional at all. -The jacket is lightly lined and perfect for the later winter/early spring weather we're here, mid 60's to 70 degrees. I think it'd also be appropriate for slightly cooler weather, but it the temp get below 50, you should layer with it. ... show more

I ordered the black with detachable hood and another without the hood in large (my size per the chart). I'm about 5'10, 40" bust, between size M & L in tops. The hooded was slightly small, no hood way too small. I ordered xl in the hooded bc I liked that style better. Both large came wrapped in two bags, folded nicely, with tags and paper wrapping on the zipper pulls. The xl came waded up in the outer bag only (the inner bag was what has the style info on it. It has no tags, no tissue, all unzipped and smells like perfume. It's also defective. The arms are sewn wrong. The seam in the front from the arm to the shoulder is .5" different, the shorter side curves forward. Inside, the seams don't line up. The zippers also don't work well. It came in a box with another purchase so it's not like they just grabbed this one item from the shelf and shipped it. The outer bag was sealed so when it was returned, they clearly repackaged it before it was sent to me. I've heard about people getting stuff like this but it's a first for me. ... show more
