I just received this rug today. I bought it because it was cheap and reviews were pretty good. I’ve owned several rugs so I feel like I know what I should look for at this point. Some things I’ve noticed. Bottom is pretty decently cushioned for a rug. It has some grip on the bottom so I don’t see it moving around to much. The actual rug hair itself is pretty thin. It’s soft but not very packed so the cushion mainly comes from the bottom. Overall I think this was a good find. Do I see this lasting me for more than a year, no. But for the price I don’t think it was too bad. The picture on Amazon of the rug is a little misleading. The picture makes the hairs look very thick and packed together. It’s not that

Okay, so some of the reviews I read were not good. I was apprehensive. But it was on flash sale for $40. So I thought what do I have to lose. I bought some rug tape, to make sure it didn't roll up. I laid out the rug and no rolling at all. It's really thick and soft. It feels like a memory foam underneath. I am so happy I took the chance. I wish it came in solid colors because I would buy one for every room in the house. My only complaint, the smell. It smelled awful when it came out of the package. I don't know if it was the plastic or what. But I rolled it up and put it in the dryer with a lot of dryer sheets. Now I smell nothing. But for a beautiful, thick, large area rug for $40 I would definitely buy again! I can't say enough how much I love this rug!

First of all, love this rug. Super soft, great pattern. However, we have a dyson and trying to vacuum this rug is hard because everything, including pet hair, sticks to the shag like a magnet. Also, if you have a cat like us who insists on thowing up only on the hardest surfaces to clean, spot cleaning this rug is a nightmare, even with a Bissell pet pro carpet cleaner that cleans normal rugs with ease. Overall highly recommend if you don't mind the challenges associated with pet ownership!

I originally got this for the foot of my bed so when the dogs would jump in and out of the bed, it would be soft and give them something to grip since my solid wood floors are slick. THIS DOES NOT GRIP ANYTHING. It slides by even lightly walking across the floor. In fact, my older dog jumped off the bed and it slid on him and caused him to hurt his leg. This really made me mad that you even advertise this as being able to work on wood floors. Also, the thickness, plus the rug being so lightweight, you CANNOT vacuum it as you suggest in your ad. I have to beat and shake it from the front porch. Finally, these types of rugs are made to be able to be washed in a machine. However, I washed it ONE time on gentle cycle and it is no so deformed that it is useless. I almost put it out in the trash where it belongs, but instead lined the floor of my pet crate for when I need to transport my dogs somewhere. I bought a rug, not a pet bed! -Pro: The rug is very soft and it actually is pretty. -Cons: Very slippery on wood floor and make it unusable. TBH, it may work on a carpeted floor, but why would you get this for this reason? Plus, you CONSTANTLY have to straighten it because as soon as you or the pet walks across it, it is made crooked. Drove me crazy! -Cons: Cannot vacuum it. The carpet sucks into the vacuum. -Cons: Hard to shake and beat the dirt out of it because the length is too big to deep clean. -Cons: Cannot wash in washing machine because it makes it lumpy and uneven. DON'T BUY!!!
