There aren't many reviews on the brown color so I thought I'd address that first. It's not a dark brown or a light brown. We like the color. I think it's kind of a dark gray with a brownish tint but my wife says it's mossy green so I'm not really sure how to describe it. You are probably better off just going off the pictures in the description which seemed accurate. The velvet material is very smooth and soft but not fuzzy. We have a dog and, at least through the first week, the fabric has held up well. Marks show up but are easily smoothed over by rubbing your hand over them. Hard to tell how the velvet will hold up over time but so far so good. The construction seems very sturdy including actual wood for the legs. Each section comes in its own box and it's obvious that they designed it to be shipped economically which is why the legs and back have to be installed but it's very easy. I would pay close attention to the dimensions provided in one of the pictures which are accurate. We really like that our feet can actually touch the ground (I am 5'6") which means the seats aren't very deep. I've seen several complaints about the low back on the seats. They are lower than a normal sofa but not a big deal to us since the back cushions make up most of the height difference. Again, this is why you should really pay close attention to the dimensions provided. The seats are definitely firm which we like and they have softened slightly during the first week of use. The back cushions are very soft and are not attached. They have zippers on the back so I guess you could remove the covers if you needed to. The best parts of this item are the functionality and that you don't have to move a 200lb sofa around since each module weighs about 50 lbs. Also, if one of the modules does get damaged they sell them separately on Amazon so it's easily replaceable (at a cost) rather than having to purchase a whole new sofa. Overall, we are very happy with this modular sofa. Most of the other reviews have mentioned the storage under each seat so I won't go into any detail on that but it is a big plus. This biggest negative, as others have mentioned, is the shipping. Ours was shipped by FedEx and the 8 boxes arrived sporadically over a 4-day period so we had to wait around all day for them to arrive, but we don't really blame the seller for that and the seller was very responsive to the issues we had related to the shipping.

I was skeptical of this product at first because I was curious how a product could be not only scratch proof but stain proof/water resistant as well. However, we have now had this couch for a few months now and I must say it lives up to its claims. We just recently got a golden retriever puppy and she will try to hop up onto it with her paws, which are super sharp right now (shes getting them clipped soon) but the material was no match for her, her little claws did scratch the material at all, which was great!! I was also eating chips and salsa on the couch the other night and panicked when I dropped some salsa onto the couch, but all I had to do was literally just wipe away the salsa from the fabric and it was completely gone, no residual stain/moisture mark left on the material at all, I was honestly shocked. As I would have need to get out my steam cleaner to scrub and steam clean the entire area had I dropped anyhing on my old couch, which was such a hassle. The fabric is also super smooth and comfortable! I love the way it feels and it doesnt leave any water stains/etc. if you drop any liquids or anything at all like that onto the couch which is such a relief too as I like for everything in my home to always look and be very clean all of the time. Assembling the product itself could not have been easier, it didnt even require any hardware at all to set up, all you had to do was screw in the legs on the bottom of the couch & slide the back rest into the slots on the ottoman portion of the seat and your done! We bought the 7 seater U-shaped version of this couch and I am pretty sure setting up the entire thing myself took me about an hour, which really was only because I had to unbox and unwrap the items themselves. We move a lot, pretty much every year for medical school, so I love that each piece of the couch comes separately so that you can configure the couch & set it up however you like. They are also super easy to transport and move because they do come apart into individual sections, which is even better. Just when I thought I couldn't love this couch anymore, the fact that each section of it comes with ample storage is just the cherry on top, as we are often living in smaller spaces with not as much storage, so this maximizes our storage in any new place we move into. I also love that you can buy more sections of the couch separately as we needed extra seats for the couch and we were able to order those individually to add on to the exisiting size/length of the couch which was great to even have that as an option, instead of having to buy additional seating/furniture for our living room. My only complaint is that each section of the couch seems a bit smaller than most couches on the market these days, but since we bought the 7 seater version, we just configured it to make the seats larger (see photo). So that was an easy fix. All in all I would definitely buy this again especially for the price, it really is top quality and very versatile!!!

When I purchased this sectional, there weren't too many reviews, so I was really apprehensive about this purchase, especially not being able to see it in person. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the delivery. The color was beautiful and the sectional was every bit as nice as it is shown. I had a minor issue and customer service was wonderful, not only with correspondence, but with assistance. The only negative thing I would have to say is that the back of the sectional is a little low, but the pillows provide the extra height I desired. I would definitely recommend!
