DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS WORTHLESS PRODUCT!! It doesn’t work and I’d rate it zero stars if I could. I put all four around the outside perimeter of our 2-car driveway with two directly on each side (one in a planter and one in the landscaping rock) of my husband’s Mazda that has show evidence of mice. He started the car this morning and saw a mouse scurry out and hide under a rock that we put a bag over to try to catch it. My homemade mouse trap works better and it cost me NOTHING. We also bought the under the hood electronic mouse devices and will report on those later...

The jury is still out as I have not yet had time to try in my garden. This did not work for squirrels (in my car). I will be trying them out for moles, snakes and skunks around the yard, under my shed. The solar batteries seem to hold up well. They are a little on the noisy side, if you are working around them for a long period ... they vibrate slightly and also send out a periodic beep signal, which is annoying, so one would think it would be annoying to animals as well. I have similar units for mice inside the house, and they are very quiet, but run from the wall plugs. Those seem to work well; mice have been almost non-existent for about a year, which is why I thought I would try these for some larger rodents.

Instructions are clear and fine. I didn't need them. I've been through maybe 5 different sets of these things. Various brands and models. I seem to always find them with my tractor. 1st, this set has an on off switch that is a bottom facing push button. I found this annoying as id have to check the position over and over again. If you push this unit down and the ground presses the button, it turns itself off. Switches that slide are much better. Out of the box, 2 units flat out didn't work. So I had 6 "useable' ones. It's been 4 days since this install and about half of those 6 work. They all are muffled and the the length of time they keep is half a second at a time. I think 1, maybe 2 might be beeping as it should. But it's not loud. I installed my previous vole destroyers in the yard where the malfunctioning units from this order were installed. They still work like a champ. Even after the tractor for a couple. I would not recommend this brand of these. They are all cheap but some are cheaper then others. Go for a larger range instead of quantity. Also, use a wooden stand hammered into to the ground to make your hole for your vole destroyers shaft. Way better then a shovel! Happy hunting.
