I installed this chandelier in an afternoon. Although the instructions aren't the greatest, I was able to follow them and I was replacing another chandelier, so some of the items, like the hanging bar in the electrical box, was already installed, which made things easier. Everything fit together well, with no rough or unfinished surfaces. The hardest part is opening and closing the steel links of the hanging chain - having 2 vice grip pliers definitely helps for this unless you have a lot of arm strength. It does NOT come with the 12 candelabra bulbs required, so make sure to stop off at the home supply store and purchase these before you hang it up. Your bulbs must be under 60 watts/bulb. I installed 40 watt bulbs and it was plenty of light - you probably can get by with 25 watt bulbs if you don't have a dimmer switch installed. Good value although I see the price has gone up a bit since my purchase. If you need a fairly inexpensive, classic brass chandelier for a dining room, you can't get much better than this for the money. Save the $$'s for your furnishings - no one will know you didn't spend $1000 for a fancy chandelier. ... show more

Purchased this light for our new dining room. Comes collapsed, so arms must be twisted into place (easy to do) and aligned. Brass candle tube bases snapped into place (only had slight difficulty with one). We did have one light structure that came bent that had to be straightened before the white tube would fit down over it. There was plenty of chain and cord to hang it, which took only about 15 minutes. Finish looked nice as shown on the web page. When we turned on the twelve 40W bulbs we had purchased to go in the light it was extremely bright. Very pleased. Would have rated it 5 stars except for the one bent light. ... show more

Beautiful, traditional chandelier. My husband was worried about hanging the chandelier at the top of a 2-story foyer. However, the hanging clip enabled him to quickly make adjustments to the length of the chain. When shipped, the chandelier was packed well and all of the pieces were nicely organized.     • Over priced cheaply made fixtures from China, not a quality fixture!

Not happy with the quality of these fixtures! Cheap materials, cheaply made and not worth what you pay for them. This is a $99.00 fixture at best. They come in a box from China and they have tiny electrically charged Styrofoam pills all over them and it went all over the room. You have to assemble them and you have to bend the arms to straighten them. Horrible! Just horrible! The candle covers are shiny white which make them look even cheaper. ... show more
