I am new to beekeeping and thought I would have to wait a year to acquire some bees, but then I found Mellivo and was able to order 2 packages in late April. The bees arrived faster than I expected! I installed them the evening that they arrived and I was very impressed with the bees. Both queens were in the cages with the corks intact. I transferred the bees with no issues. The bees are so docile and chill. They never seem to care if I’m working around the hives or if I’m inspecting inside the hives. They know what their job is and they ignore me completely. I would definitely order from Mellivo again and I would recommend them to anyone else looking for some bees.

I am happy with these bees because I didn’t wanna drive to get them. They came very healthy and they are calm bees for right now. They are presently on their second box and I’m hoping that they will create honey. If not, I hope they last until next year I will be ordering from this company again.

Over half the bees were dead upon arrival. I ordered two shipments of bees. Was hoping to be able to salvage the hive however by day 3, 99% of the bees were dead including both queens. $500 down the drain...

First time order online i know was a risk since i was late ordering the bees some were death but I think it’s normal coming from far away and only one thing you should put in the video about the cork when I put my queen and the bees after like 40 minutes I realized I didn’t see any candy around the bee cage sow thank goodness i went back opened free the queen and hopefully she will stay there maybe you can put a candy cork we can replace it with the wooden one

I ordered my package in April with an expected date in May 23, 2025. I received an email on Friday in April and my package arrived a month earlier than expected. I didn’t have my site set up or selected. All in one day, I selected the site and cleared an area and set up the bees. After a month of having the bees, they are working. They are doing their thing; however I feel I have a weak queen. I don’t think the queen is strong enough. Going to check for super-cell.

Bees arrived alive. Only thing is the queen cage did not have candy in it, instead of letting the hive free her had to free her myself and took a risk of her flying away. Not sure why her cage didn't have a candy block in it.

The bees came much faster than the 3-week wait time listed when I placed the order. The bees were packaged well with The nice inner plastic bee box and a outer cardboard and mesh container ensuring no bees escaped. There was still plenty of food in the package when I received it and almost no bees were dead in the package. I did not weigh the bees but I am confident that I received at least 3 lb of bees in the box.

Bees arrived all alive and queen was included. Lots of food was put with the bees to keep them happy until I could put them in their new hive box. It’s been weeks now and they are thriving! I had honey within 2 weeks! I may order again!!!!
