I like the fact that the bottom bunk is on the floor for the 2-year-old so I don't have to worry about him falling out of bed and getting hurt. The four-year-old likes to hang from the metal rungs from the top bed like a monkey but he loves the bunk bed. He thinks it's all for him even though it's for any grandchild that comes to visit. I did put some rubber adhesive covers over the ladder because the rungs are very small and diameter and I was worried it would hurt their bare feet. I bought this thinking about how I can use the top as storage in a way and ended up using it for some storage and my cat's own little play area. The top bunk doesn't have any crazy height to it like the bed overall should be maybe 5ft and its pretty sturdy the manual doesn't show how to build the side rail things that well so the manual I'll give it an 8/10 just for weird pictures and steps by steps feel weird. Also missing one long screw and I can't find a way to figure it out really. ... show more

Everything was easy to put together for me and my wife. Took about 2.5 hours total. It’s sturdy and the best part is that the top bunk is lower than most bunk beds which eases our minds and my 4 year old is comfortable with sleeping up there. My two year old twins sleep on the bottom 2. We can’t use the trundle bed yet because the mattress we have is like 10 inches and it won’t fit on the metal rolling trundle. ... show more

They are sweet, but...expensive 😅 this bed has held up 6 months so far of intense jumping (while mommy runs in yelling stoooppp), kicking and flailing (stimming), and jumping off from the top (no, yes, I *let* them do that 🙄) it took SERIOUS work on my husband's part to put it together, but after like a billion hours of 🐂 it got figured out. I am giving this one star because if you lose a part, there is no way to get a replacement. I had to move and during the move, a bracket (connecting the top to the bottom beds) was misplaced). In the manual there is one sentence stating: Replacememt parts, including additional guardrails, may be obtained from any of our Smart Bridge International CO dealers. There is no phone, web address, or part number to order. I’ll keep searching online…. The bed itself is worth the money paid. Took hours to put together…. It looks nice and saves tons of space. You would think that it should be super sturdy but it’s not. It moves a lot and you can’t tighten the bolts enough to make it stop. When you climb the ladder the polls spin and the bolts come out which renders it useless. It needs the locking bolts(The ones with the blue stuff on them). The part where the mattress sits is made well. The polls don’t bend when the boys get on it.
