    • A good buy, even if I knew back then what I know now.
Overall, our son loves this play set and it wasn’t very difficult to put together (if you’re patient, have all the right tools, and have plenty of time cuz this is at least a 1.5 day project for 1 person... I also consider myself a DIYer and enjoy the occasional challenge, and I assume there will always be minor issues in any project). Very disappointed in the number of issues we encountered based on how much this play set costs. A couple of the pieces were already warped or cracked (significantly) upon delivery. Some of the pre-drilled holes were wrong. The instruction booklet is an absolute joke (pages out of order and upside down), I had to undo several steps at later stages of the build because the instructions placed hardware in the wrong holes, and a couple times the instructions called for the wrong size nails because they ended up protruding through the other side of the boards. There are minor design flaws in the swing hardware, the bolts that attach the swing ropes to the overhead board come loose a little bit, you will likely need to go buy and add some lock washers and nuts or just buy better attachment hardware if you don’t want to constantly tighten them (I would say a tighten is needed once a week, depending on how often they’re used). But no problems that can’t be overcome. I would still recommend this play set, with all of these caveats, but the price is a little on the high end for what you get. (Two weeks after install) It looks like another reviewer experienced the same issue with the swings. Go to Home Depot and for about $7 you can buy 4 lock washers and 4 nuts that will fix the swing issue. ... show more

Overall this is a great play set, our 20mo old is a little small for it but can climb the ladder and go down the slide. I feel he will get many years out of it. I like the style of the Wilderness collection since it’s unique compared to the traditional play sets you see. Wood quality is about the same. Definitely recommend. Couple notes. - I built myself, but does require another person at some points. Spent two days, about 10-12hrs - The Bilt app is good, but I actually used the manual most the time, the manual section on attaching the swings is absolutely wrong and drove me nuts until the app showed me tbe correct hardware to use. So use both. - I was able to switch the rock wall and climbing net. - Some flooring boards are missing screw holes, but not a game changer, not needed or make your own. That being said, you’ll have a bunch of left over hardware, don’t worry. - Tip - lay out all the boards and hardware first, all are labeled very well. - The slide box showed up damaged and the slide cracked, I took pictures, but Little Tikes did not want them. First of all I want to add I am very mechanical and have a lot of tools and experience assembling stuff. We purchased this for my 3 yr old grandson and he loves it mainly because of all the climbing options. It took me and my wife about 11 hours split in 2 days to assemble. We attempted to use the bilt app but found it had some discrepancies in the plans so it became very frustrating at first. Me and the wife were fighting about it within the first 2 hours. Fortunately we found the paper instructions after about 4 hours of unloading parts. Let me say there is a lot of parts! The company sends way too many of some hardware pieces but shorts you in some. After some time you get a groove of how things go and it becomes easier. Just 2 notes. Make sure you are assembling on a level surface. If needed assemble the first part of the section until it is sturdy on a patio and then move it to its permanent place as it is pretty lite. Second I would suggest you use a cordless drill with the 3 bits needed to assemble to make things go much faster. I used a 12 v impact to tighten the bolts instead of the wrench that was provided. A few of the pieces in the instructions were flipped so you will find out after you complete a step and have to redo your work but all in all the assembling it just time consuming. ... show more

We just got this set for my son, and it’s amazing! He’s almost two, so he still needs to grow into some of it but we love that it’s something he’ll be able to play on for years. My husband is very handy and with help, it took him a good 8 hours to assemble it. He used drills and other tools, so he prepared for that. But seeing my son’s face light up when he saw it was worth it! ... show more

This is a great swing set! My kiddos love it! I will say..yes the wood is cheap and the screws where the swings screw In are not great but I think we can replace those with better ones from home depot. Took my husband 12 hours to put together by himself. Overall..I'm happy with our purchase also we purchased more rock climbing handles and put them on the arch.
