We purchased this item and only after delivery did we read the reviews. Lucky for us, because had we read the reviews first we may not have purchased this charming item. The piece came packed beautifully, and I immediately noticed that the instructions were clear and detailed, and that the hardware was packed in a helpful and organized way (with a useful sheet that identified precisely what hardware was what). All holes were exactly where they should be and everything fit like a glove. Assembly took less than two hours (and that was even though with an injury I had a gimpy right (dominant) hand). The only thing that's stopping me from giving five stars here is that there is a slight imperfection on the bottom corner of the drawer but, since the drawer is gray, I essentially was able to correct it with a pencil and a rag. I do not understand the complaint that the legs are plastic (so what?), or that there are a lot of parts or steps (should the item have been designed less ideally so that the number of parts or steps are reduced?). I wonder if the manufacturer improved the instructions or the hardware-related quality control since some of the negative comments, because, simply put, I saw nothing negative with the instructions or the hardware presentation (and, as indicated above, was impressed by both). My husband and I attempted to assemble this today - we've done a lot of furniture from different brands and this seemed unnecessarily complicated from the start. We gave it a try, but the problems kept escalating: two of the pre-drilled holes were in the wrong place, many pieces didn't quite line-up, and the back of the drawer didn't fit flush with the sides. That's what ultimately sank the whole thing - once complete, the drawer didn't fit correctly into the space, rendering the whole thing useless. Very frustrating experience, and we essentially ended up with a new, large piece of trash to dispose of. No refund unless we can figure out how to ship a basically-assembled piece of furniture back to Amazon. Even if we had got this functional, there was an unfinished bottom edge on the front piece of the drawer and a couple visible screws on the drawer as well. Overall, solid and sturdy, but real problems in the quality of the details. ... show more

This stand is beautiful, but the top came with dings in it and the white paint chipped and the gray part of the drawer was peeling off. Once I give it a little TLC it will be in good condition, but I was bummed it came with so many imperfections. Also drawer does not line up correctly and you have to give it a good shove to close it 😩 ... show more

I bought two of these for my daughters' room. For kid furniture, they do look good put together. And the price is right. However, they were easily the most frustrating pieces of crappy kid furniture I have ever assembled (and I'm handy and have done my share of furniture assembly plus much bigger projects). One box was missing a crucial piece - and the drawer slides for BOTH were misaligned. I had to lower the slides and drill new holes in order for the drawers to close. Even then, the hardware is so cheap that they drawers are hard to open and close. Not sure that will improve in time, so I'm ranking the drawers SUPER LAME. On top of that, there are exposed screws that they could have spent $0.25 to include 2-4 little white screw covers, but noooooo. And the legs look like wood (well veneer) in the pic, but they are plastic. Just spend $20 more and buy a better product! ... show more

Ordered 2 of these for a bedroom. Excellent quality and love the white and gray combo. My husband is a good assembler and he only had to make a minor tweak or adjustment to assemble them properly
