The media could not be loaded. I can not knock this ladder. It is a good ladder and I do not regret the purchase. However, as stated in their product video by Mel Huffaker, Senior Vice President, when he starts talking about the extension ladder - he states "Rubber Grips, Plastic Slips". Well I am here to tell you that rubber slips as well as is seen in my attached video. I had gone up and down the ladder twice, with no issues. If you look closely at the video, I do "test" the ladder before I attempt to come down.

I love this ladder, but why would Amazon sell this ladder when they know it has a recall? Why not get it fixed or include the recall parts to get it fixed before selling it... on the recall it states that this ladder can't be used untill the installation of the recall parts, now i am stuck with this untill i get the recall parts to install them

The first thing I'll say is I successfully cut the box up without killing myself...... But the first time I tried to extend the ladder, it smashed my thumb. Bled like a stuck pig. The guy in the video moves this ladder around like its a toy. I guess I'm just an idiot. The ladder feels very solid. Its nice how it extends to several handy positions and even extends all the way out to 17 ft. The wide legs make it very sturdy. But when collapsing the ladder.... If you are not VERY careful..... It is a finger guillotine. My fault. I'm just warning you. The ladder doesn't give and your fingers do. I didn't read that in the other reviews and it only took me 3 minutes. Fun....

First let me say I have no basis for comparison as I've never owned a ladder before. I've only used stools, multiple chairs stacked into dangerous positions, or decided the request *really* didn't need to be done if it needed a ladder. However, we recently purchased a house with 15- and 22-foot ceilings and a fan light bulb went out. I thought that was annoying but let it go until the living room flood also went out. At this point, my options were to rent a ladder from Home Depot for $29 or purchase a ladder. I broke down and purchased this one. And it's wonderful. Having never operated a ladder of this type, it took me ~20 seconds to figure out. The locking mechanism made obvious sense. I'm 210lbs and felt stable even when it was fully extended into an A frame. I replaced the flood, replaced the fan light, and even cleaned the fan blades to the amazement of my wife. Now I'm even having dreams about hanging Christmas lights. I don't review things often. But this purchase made me feel good about myself. If you need a ladder and don't know anything about ladders, I think this will be a good purchase for you too.

This is my first real ladder. So I don't know how much it helps but I did a lot of research and kept coming back to this. I purchased the m26 velocity for it's all in one capability. It's not 26ft but only 23ft. Manufacturers base the 26ft on the maximum reach of the operator. Anoying if you don't do research before buying one. But the m26 is perfect for me. I can reach my high ceilings, clean gutters, and trimming trees. The ladder is about 55lbs and for me that's not bad for a multipurpose ladder. It's very self explanatory, I didn't read the instructions but I'm sure I will... some day..

I like the ladder a lot. Its a bit heavier than I thought it would be. Even though I knew what the ladder would actually weigh. I'm just used to my 6' aluminum 'A' frame ladder. No difficulty learning how to configure the ladder; I'm a bit older then I should be for doing the kinds of jobs I like to do, so I may need assistance setting up the ladder from time to time. The one CON is that the ladder arrived damaged. The packaging is very inadequate. When the package arrived the wheels were both sticking through the cardboard box and had been covered over with shipping tape. Other rips & tears were obvious on all sides of the cardboard box. The carrier took notes and pictures of the damage to the box but he didn't observe the actual damage to the wheeled leg of the ladder. I also took pictures of the damaged packing carton and the damaged ladder leg. I also made a report to Amazon within 48 hours of receiving the shipment (more than a month ago) but haven't received any response from them, yet. I do recommend the ladder; its a well made and solid tool. I recommend purchasing the ladder from a local supplier rather than through Amazon.

Once I realized this ladder was impossible to position on my house fully extended and that it is way too flimsy and unsafe, I went to break it down to ship back to Amazon. When I hit the release buttons on the extension, it went into a total free fall. I guess I assumed that it would be engineered to have a safety stop built in. It doesn't. My foot became the safety stop (see pic). Please buy something else.
