I use this to keep the room so sophisticated for both of me and my cat. It hides the litter box and her food containers from any guests that come and keep keeps her (my cat) from being bothered by our dogs. This is a must have furniture item in my household.

Sturdy, easily assembled, and looks great! However, this cabinet is so much smaller than I anticipated. Learn from my mistake and definitely pay attention to the dimensions because the average litter box will not fit inside this cabinet. The kitties can barely get into the standard litter box when it’s inside the cabinet. We’ve had to order a high back/low front litter box to (hopefully) make this cabinet work for us.

Easy to put together and looks great. However, the suggested litter boxes DO NOT GET! Make sure you get a Side Entry cat litter box (AND THE CORRECT SIZE FOR THE SPACE). It is not a very large space but due to a double side that does help.

It does seem a little thin/flimsy but overall holds up great! The doors have magnets and latches to keep them shut. Super easy to clean and my cats have no issue getting in and out of their litter boxes. Recommend!

It arrived with damage (assume from shipping). Probably should have sent it back before assembling it. I was hoping the damaged areas were in the back of the unit. Only one area of damage was in the front right top corner (the first corner you see when you walk in the room). Not great. I assembled it on my own and it was rather easy. The only holes that didn’t line up were on the back panel so you don’t see that they are not flush. The unit looks nice and fits in the space intended. I bought this for a rescued cross eyed cat that won’t use the cat door to the basement litter box. This way I have a litter box that she can use on the main floor that is hidden, and with both a magnetic lock and a latch lock, it can not be pushed open from inside, and it is safe from the dog. It has only been assembled 1 week and my cross eyed cat with depth problems and is somewhat missing the litter box. Every night when I get home I have to remove the box and clean the inside. Unfortunately since the urine sits in the bottom shelf while I am at work, it smells and the shelf is starting to delaminate (already you can notice it from the front under the door). I did not see any contact information for the company so I didn’t notify them about the issues. I doubt they would do anything after it was assembled and used anyway. Lesson learned. Pros: Does not look like a litter box, easy to assemble, easy to wipe down and clean, only one entry so only one place to track litter out of the box, magnetic & latch locks so doors stay closed. Cons: hard to find litter box to fit space exactly so there is not space for accidents, depth of opening is not recyfor a cross eyed cat.

The dowels were too large and blew through the top of it when tightening fasteners according to the instructions. A little light on points of contact for relatively thin material. Made worse by the fact that we are missing one of the critical E1 fasteners. Is it a decent deal for the price? No, and I don't expect it to last longer than a year or two. The textured wood effect is a nice touch on the finish and the finish appears to have a decent gloss though.

UPDATE, 3/21/24: This cat box enclosure has been a wonderful addition to our home. Even my "prissy princess" girl cat has decided it is not worth going potty in naughty places anymore! With our three cats using the two boxes, I clean them every other day (*empty out everything, not scoop), the smell is minimal to nonexistent unless you get down to floor level or open the doors, and the dogs generally ignore everything. Messes are virtually nil and the boy cats now eat their dinners on top of the enclosure, so the cat furniture is multifunctional in that regard. Win, win! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Finally having decided that I was sick of stepping on random pieces of cat litter in my laundry room, I purchased this enclosed cat litter box system from Amazon. It was a bit of a gamble--our pride numbers three, with the little girl and the old man occasionally going rogue and creating messes in unacceptable places. Still, for the most part (for the most part, ha!), everyone uses this new system. The handsome furniture was easy to assemble by myself. It took me 2.5 hours and I did NOT use power tools. The MAHANCRIS Cat Litter Box Enclosure is not too heavy for me to move by myself once put together. I bought a silicone feeding mat to put under the cat entrance/exit opening to catch any random litter. My kitchen, the haute new feline potty spot, is none the worse for wear. I will say that the enclosed spaces have low ceilings; I do not think that my largest cat, my darling and best-behaved boy where the cat boxes are concerned, can truly sit upright while he squats. Thankfully, however, this has not deterred him from using this new arrangement of mine. It is also worth noting that this enclosed cat box system is NOT dog-proof, but it is dog-deterring. Occasionally, I think our medium-sized spaniel mix goes sniffing for a cat-made treat (yuck!), but usually the dogs are both respectful of the fact that the little "hallway" in the furniture is meant to keep them out!
