  • So far it is a great battery at a great price So far it is a great battery at a great price
Size: 3 Pack Set name: 100Ah Trolling Motor (APP)
After doing a ton of research on Batteries for my Nitro Bass Boat to run my Brushed 36v Minnkota Ultrex I settled in on Li Time. For a number of reasons fist and foremost all the reviews I found said the customer service was second to none. That was very important to me. I thankfully have not had to use customer service so far for any issues but they have reached out to me every step of the way from the order to the receipt of the batteries (in part because I left them sitting in my cart on their website opting to buy through Amazon instead). They have been very helpful even providing a discount code for future purchases. Second was price vs. quality and functionality. The price is less than half of the other big brands that market to bass fisherman and the features and spec's of these batteries are all the same or at least similar most notably the BMS system. The one thing I noticed was some said that this BMS did not have a balancing system as other do. I solved that with a multibank charger and putting a disconnect between each battery to isolate them when charging. Disconnects are simple to install and only $20 each on amazon. My only complaint is that these batteries arrived asleep and had to be woken up by using the force mode on the Noco GenPro 4 bank charger I purchased. My complaint is not that they arrived in that state but that there was no note or disclaimer on the battery that this was the case. Nor any instructions on how to wake them up. It took a lot of time researching what was going on and how to wake them up. Once I got it figured out it was solved in minutes. I have only ran them once for a 5 hour fishing day on the Upper Chesapeake bay. Wind was moderate and the tide was moving. I only used 10% of the 100 ah batteries in those 5 hours. The real test will come when I start putting 8-12 hour days in on the St. Lawrence river the rest of the season...however based on the first test I might have gotten away with the 50 ah like some of my friends are running in other brands. The ones I purchased have the BMS that connects to the mobile app. which is great. I have an Ionic running one Garmin 10" and my LS. The Li Time app. works similar to the Ionic app. As an added bonus the weight reduction from the AGM's I was running significantly improved my hole shot and provided 4 mph faster speeds on the top end (2012 Nitro Z8 with 225hp proxs). I did find a disclaimer online from Minn Kota warning costumers to only run brushed motors at 85% speed when using Lithium batteries of any kind. My understanding is that this is due to the brushed motor being sensitive to the higher voltage Lithiums deliver. I found another disclaimer saying you could run it at 100% but limit the use at 1005 to less than 10 min continuously. I ran mine at 100% for short bursts with no issues so far. I have a friend that fishes the St. Lawrence river weekly and purchased these same 100 ah batteries (before they offered the BMS with the phone app.) He has been running them since April on his 24 volt brushed Ultrex with no issues at all and is very happy with the batteries. Long review, but I was unable to find any detailed reviews of people specifically using these batteries on bass boats running brushed Ultrex motors. So I hope this helps the next guy looking at these for that application. ... show more

  • Great Battery
Size: 1 Pack Set name: 100Ah Trolling Motor
Works great with my trolling motor, used it 4 hours straight pushing my 16' jonboat with 3 - 200+ pound men into a 8mph headwind most of the time and hardly discharged the battery at all. Well worth the investment.

  • Awesome battery
Size: 1 Pack Set name: 100Ah Trolling Motor
Best 100ah lithium on Amazon for the price. Spent 8 hrs on the lake yesterday with a 45lb thrust trolling motor and it was still almost fully charged when I got home. It's really light weight which is perfect for my small jonboat

  • New, Working as expected, Company has good help available in 1-2 days New, Working as expected, Company has good help available in 1-2 days
I replaced two 6 volt lead acid batteries with four of these batteries, wired together in parallel to power the 12-volt system in my 13-foot trailer, including a new 60 watt fridge in. We enjoy remote camping for a week at a time, and need to be able to keep the fridge running while still being free to unhook and go exploring with our 4WD vehicle, without leave all our equipment out, unlocked charging (you know, solar panels, etc.) while we are gone. I have tested these batteries and find that they will last about 6 days before they are discharged to the point that they turn themselves off. (They have internal protection so they won't overcharge or overdischarge and get damaged.) The company has representatives who respond to questions within 1-2 days via email and I have been very happy with their service. When wiring four batteries, it is important that they stay in balance. To do that, I wired all the positives to a positive busbar, and all the negative wires to a negative busbar, using identical length wires (instead of to each other.) (see photo) This keeps them in balance with each other during charging and discharging. (You can also wire them in series in order to increase the voltage, of course, but I needed to stay with my 12-volt system and just increase the battery capacity, so I wired them in parallel.) My only issue is that LiTime's wiring diagram for wiring in parallel does not seem to be correct. They show wiring with a busbar and ALSO wires between each battery which is definitely not necessary and probably also defeats the purpose of using the busbars. When I asked them about it, they stood by their diagram, but their reason made no sense to me. They said the batteries also have to be connected to each other. But they ARE connected to each other via the busbars! I checked with an electrician who said he couldn't see why the extra wires would be needed, but didn't want to contradict the company's instructions. I can't even imagine how crowded the wires would have been if I had used twice the number of wires, LOL! The system is working beautifully by wiring just to busbars. The batteries fit in a standard group 31 battery box and weigh half the amount of a lead acid battery, so I can handle them easily by myself (69 y/o 100 pound female). (I could never begin to lift a lead acid battery by myself.) Changing from lead acid to LiFePO4 batteries is a steep learning curve! We tried to get the help of an autoelectric business, but they said they didn't have any experience with Lithium batteries. You'll have better luck at an RV service place, or study youtube instructional videos. But there are numerous advantages! The LiFePO4 batteries charge much faster, last a lot longer with each discharge cycle, have a much longer life overall, and are half the weight of lead acid batteries! Here is the learning curve part: If you discharge Lead acid batteries past 50 percent of their capacity, you damage them; whereas you can discharge the LiFePO4 batteries down to 20 percent and still maintain their long life. The trick is figuring out when they are getting close to 20-25 percent of their capacity. LiFePO4 batteries have a very flat charge/discharge curve. They stay at 13 volts from 100% (at rest not charging) down to 25% capacity, then drop precipitously. If the voltage reads 12.8, they are almost dead and need to be charged immediately! You need a multimeter to check the capacity, which is read in 10ths and 100ths of a volt, because the change is very tiny until the end. (see page from LiTime manual.) It's important to know to check the voltage with loads removed (i.e. fridge and lights turned off in my case). Also, the voltage drops on the way to the load (i.e. the fridge wiring), so the fridge reads a lower voltage than that measured at the battery. You will have to get used to what your fridge (or other device) says the voltage is, versus what the actual voltage is at the batteries by using some kind of voltage meter. I have been able to develop a feel for the actual voltage vs the fridge reading by checking and rechecking over time. As I say, it is a learning curve. While running, by the way, the fridge says the battery is at 12.4 or 12.8 volts usually. That is normal. The battery capacity is measured at rest. So I just turn off the fridge for a moment to see what it is measuring at rest. Then I compare that reading with what the voltage is at the battery itself. When the fridge says 13.0, for example, the multimeter at the battery says 13.26. If the fridge gives me 12.8 volts at rest, I know it's time to recharge! You'll need to do the testing to know the parameters for your own system to be sure. ... show more

  • SO FAR THESE BATTERIES ARE GREAT
Size: 2 Pack Set name: 100Ah Trolling Motor
I did my due diligence in reviewing lithium batteries and decided to go with LiTime lithium batteries. The shipping was fast and they arrived in 3 or 4 days. I purchased two group 24, 100 ah batteries for my Minn Kota 80 lb thrust trolling motor on my 198 DLV Carolina Skiff. I originally had purchased 6 years ago VMax AGM batteries and they were done three weeks ago. So I charged the batteries and after the charge I wired them pos to pos, neg to neg as required in the directions. Twice I took the boat out with the new batteries and fished from 8 am to 3 pm with about 1 1/2 hr of using my main motor traveling. The batteries worked GREAT. Bringing the boat to my storage yard I parked it and returned early the next day to hook up my two 100 watt solar panels to charge the batteries. Upon hooking up the batteries, my charge controller indicated that the batteries were 100% charged. For some reason I thought this was an error because the VMAX AGM batteries were always discharged at least 40% after a day on the water. I again went fishing the week later and this time leaving the dock at 7 am and arriving at the dock at 1 pm using the trolling motor for about 5 1/2 hours. The next day I hooked up my solar panels to charge the batteries and AGAIN the charge controller indicated the batteries were 100% charged. I called Renology who sold me the charge controller and went over my connection and battery parameters and what I had was correct. I am TOTALLY SATISFIED AND EXCITED about these batteries and so glad I purchased these LiTime batteries. I would also like to add that these batteries are lithium ion batteries not just lithium which are safer than plain lithium batteries. I highly recommend these batteries with a 5 years warranty. ... show more

Bought these for my boat, so far everything looks great, haven’t really had a chance to test them for a longer period than 3 hours, but worked great for that time. They also helped me cut 56 pounds of weight out of my boat, as the 2 deep cycle batteries I had weighed 50 pounds each and these weigh 22 pounds each. ... show more
