  • Works great on 99 Honda Accord in OBDII mode
Color: Black
Wow, great collection of gauges and DTC scan tool itself is well worth the money. The DIGITAL dashboard showing the speedometer/rpm looks cool and modern. The HUD secondary gauge displays Coolant and Oil temp, Voltage, MPG, etc. The display is bright and comfortably clear in bright daylight under the California sun. Installation was simple, plug into the OBD port, then run the cable to the top of the steering wheel. The cable was extra long (about 6 feet) and I stuffed the slack into the fuse box above the OBD port. The included manual covers basic setup but honestly you can figure it out with only 3 buttons to work with. It took me 10 minutes to set the IMPERIAL units (MPH, MPG), set the time (UTC -8 hours), set the auto-turnoff volage to 13.2 volts, and the secondary gauges. For accurate MPG for my car, in the Fuel Settings, I set the Model to Honda and "Swept Volume" from 1.6 liters to 2.4 liters. My car is showing 28 MPG which seems correct. The latest firmware seems to have fixed the complaints found in user reviews. Among them that I found are listed below for those that are on the fence. 1. The "third display in the secondary gauges section" (which shows voltage) can be changed (yes all 3 can be changed now). 2. The display can be set to IMPERIAL (MPH, MPG, etc) or METRIC (KPH, liters/100 km, etc) in the Settings menu. 3. SPEED and RPM correctly matched the dashboard Analog gauges at freeway speeds for my 99 Honda Accord. 4. Clock time is accurate after adjusting the TIME OFFSET -8 hours in the Settings (time is auto-synched with GPS which is a plus). 5. No suction cup included in my package. I do not use it as it falls off unexpectedly during driving but incase you need it. 6. OBD cable is high quality and fits very firmly into the OBD port. Unplugging requires force and it will not unplug while driving on the road. 6. I wear polarized sunglass and can see the display crisp and clear in bright daylight. The display goes dark if you tilt your head 45 degrees. 7. Car parked for 2 days with HUD plugged in and the car starts up fine. HUD kept all my settings. Manufacturer does recommend unplugging the HUD if car is parked for 7 days. 8. For accurate MPG for your car, go into the Fuel Settings, set the Model (ie Honda) and "swept volume" from 1.6 liters to your engine size. ... show more

  • If your gauges are broken but your OBD computer is still registering data...
Color: Black
My friend’s 2014 Outback Odometer and the efficiency gauge are dead. It’s also not recording total miles or trip. Basically all gauges but the REV meter and fuel tank level are broken. Interestingly cruise control works fine. No fuses bad and when I hook up my OBD computer to it; I’m registering Miles per hour just fine. So this tells me that the rev sensor in the transmission is working but whatever is sending signal to the other gauges isn’t. I told her to get rid of that thing as quickly as possible. Until then, I bought one of these to grab data directly from the computer. Works great! Some features are pretty useless for this 2.5L non-turbo Outback but if you're interested enough it does have a 0-60 test... ... show more

  • Accurate. Lacks in connectivity
Color: Black
This product is actually pretty accurate. Down to the speed adjustment and battery readings. However, my problem with it is that while driving it will switch off and then try to come back on, only to have the message 'this car is not compatible with OBD II.' I have a 2005 focus. This issue isn't an all the time thing, but it's starting to happen more frequently now. I don't know if it's just my unit or if it's the entire product that is faulty. I have had and used it for a little over 3 months. ... show more

  • Worse than bad
Color: Black
I had great hopes for this HUD on my 2018 Toyota RAV4...didn't happen. My problem I hoped it would solve is that in bright sun and with polarized sun glasses the dash speedometer is nearly impossible to read. Try to convince a traffic officer of that. The first day the HUD worked well although calibration tweaks were needed, I thought. I was connected through the car OBD jack. The speed display was consistently three miles over the car speedometer and the clock gained 30 minutes (not seconds) every couple of hours. I adjusted both according to the instructions and it seemed to help. On about the 5th day of having th HUD we took off on a three day road trip outside of the city. Within 45 minutes, the digital display froze. No action whatsoever. Not long after that, the display seemed to move in and squeezed the speed numbers. I ignored it until we reached our destination. I hoped if I turned the car off it would allow the HUD to reboot and be happy again. Didn't happen. In fact, it got stranger. As it cycled on, the screen changed so the tach and other engine data, which I don't really care about, showed as two 1/2 circle displays on each side of the speed number. But still nothing worked. I pulled the OBD plug and looked at a blank screen on the return trip. I attempted to contact the company, but here is no direct contact information. You might have better luck, but don't count on it. ... show more

  • Not the greatest as its does freeze ..
Color: Black
I have had it for about a month and it an not unhappy with the purchase or price as its was cheaper than most. When it works, i does well and it get all the info I need to monitor my 3rd gen 4Runners with 276k miles engine vitals. Pros Was cheaper than most of the comparable products It saves me money on buying actual gauges Plug n play Displays are clear and seem accurate Choice of several different screens and options in setting Bad Every other time in startup in have to unplug it and wait as its will freeze at power up to a all white screen. The only way I have found to correct this is to unplug it from the OBD port, wait a few minutes and start over. Resets setting to factory every 3 or 4 start ups. This requires me to apend 5 minutes or so to reset for my 4 Runner engine size, time, kph to mph c to f. It is annoying! Very cheaply plastic in its construction. I really hope its does not fall as I dont think it would survive... As I stated Above. When I works it works well! if I had to buy it again I'd probably spend 20 or 30 more and get a better quality. ... show more
