I purchased two sleep number beds and despite the cost of them, they were and are extremely hard at the surface. Coming from a softer pillow top bed to the sleep number I needed something to keep my shoulder from having extreme pain and terrible nights sleep. I purchased the 2" model of these for king size beds. Yes as others have said, mine appears to have shrunk a little already and I have some edge gaps that I wish weren't there and the pad tends to then shift around a bit. I may try to tighten the straps that hold it in place a little more and see if that can help. However, with all that said, it resolved the issues I was having and I'm able to sleep soundly like I did on my previous pillow top bed. I would have tried the 3" model however I don't think my sheets would cover it and the mattress as well without pulling up at the corners even with deep pocket sheets. So, overall if you're looking for a softer top, this is it. If you're expecting firm, this is not it. ... show more

I bought this because I took a cross-country trip (2,780 miles one way) alone and did not want to spend money on hotels. So this was almost perfect for private accommodations at the Walmart-Astoria’s that are in every state. I have a Jeep Compass and it was a bit too big (I got the single) but it’s very malleable. And then I could roll it up for when I drove. But then someone I met on the road suggested I just lay it out and put my luggage on top to free up space - and that worked great! Now it’s being put to use on my sleeper sofa. Would be a great addition for overnight guests. Very comfortable on the floor (at least my dog thought so but he doesn’t get to keep it) or on the sleeper sofa or in the car. Great value and quality for the cost. ... show more

I'm happy with this. I travel a lot and stay in furnished rentals. I need soft to keep my body comfortable. This has done very well over a mattress that wasn't too horribly hard. I also have not woken up sweating. It will travel home with me for my guest room instead of leaving it behind.

We bought it to use on a cheap sofa couch in our office overnight guests bc the couch ended up being so uncomfortable to sleep in, after the first night my back was a wreck; but once I threw this topper on there it made it more sleepable!!
