Got it for my toddler to put her books and stuffed animals into by her bed. I took the plunge due to the comments and I'm happy I did. The velvet is nice and soft, no patchy spots. It is surprisingly sturdy, my daughter is about 30 lbs and started to immediately jump and sit on it, and I'm surprised just how well it held up....was nervous this would be a thinner floppier cardboard material. Overall, for the price this product is excellent.
