These bulbs are extra bright, but did not work in some of my old sockets. These bulbs did not seat deep enough to make contact with the center contact. It is likely that I seated the old incandescent bulbs tight enough to flatten the center contact in my socket. These bulbs would not work without bending the center contact of some of my old sockets to raise it up some. I'm not sure why some bulbs (old incadescent bulbs) can seat deeper than these (new LED bulbs). At the same time I bought these 75 Watt equivalent bulbs I also bought the 100 Watt version of these bulbs and they workrd in my old sockets. Does it make sense to you when I say these bulbs are so good that I forget about them? They work, I can't remember replacing a single one yet. They give off a lovely soft but bright enough for the wattage glow. I am *REALLY* sensitive to bad light and color but these work so well I honestly forget about them until it's time to replace a different bulb in the house and I see these in the closet. I look around for where else Im using them and realize they are among my favorite spots because the light is just... good. ... show more

These LED bulbs are well built and last a good long time. I've not had to replace any of them over several years. The brightness and color are exactly what I wanted out of a 60-watt equivalent, "cool white" bulb. I like them for overhead fixtures, in the kitchen, and outdoor lighting where we want good bright light for "working" and visibility. We use a less bright and warmer bulb for table lamps and mood lighting. I keep buying these as our old incandescent bulbs die out, and now we're mostly an LED house. These bulbs are dimmable, but they're just a bit twitchy to get the right brightness. I don't use them in dimmed fixtures, but it's nice to have that ability, and it is plenty usable. ... show more

Paired this with a levitron dimmer, I can dim these down to the faintest of light (less than a candle). I was using motion controlled usb charged lights under the counters to go to the bathroom at night without getting blinded, but now those seem bright by comparison. I bought these as a replacement for my, above the stove, Whirlpool microwave. This light, being dimmable, I was a bit concerned about possible flickering at the lower of two settings. That was for nothing because there is no flickering at either setting. Also is only uses 5 watts of power on the high setting (original used 30) which helps a little bit with the electric bill. It is also just enough brighter than the OEM bulb to make it actually usable for cooking. At night I set it to the lower of two settings and use it as a nightlight for the kitchen although I turn it off when I go to bed. I've used it daily for cooking and as nightlight for two weeks so the only question is how long it will last but so far so good. ... show more

These bulbs are very lightweight, so I didn’t know what to expect. But, I was pleasantly surprised by how much range they have when it comes to dimming. I have three of them in a hanging fixture that I like to dim way down at night and these are perfect. No buzzing and no wacky jumps in brightness.
