I wanted to replace a ceiling light in the recreational area in my basement, and this looked fun. I wanted a light that could be bright but adjustable, and if possible colorful. The first light i received was defective, and i had to return it. The failure mode was that the color ring did not work, though the center light did work just fine. Return and replacement was through the usual amazon process. The box was a bit damaged so it could have been from shipping but no way to know. This review is based on the second light. The center light is decent: its bright, the temperature is adjustable and its dimmable. The outer color ring can be set to various colors, along with color transitions or flashing through the colors. I do wish the color ring plastic diffused the light a bit more as you can see bright spots where the LEDs are and i think it would look better if it were more even. The Install was very easy. I had an electrical box to mount it to, so it was just two screw that hold the mount. This comes with hardware needed to install it (screw, wire nuts, anchors). This didn't come with the wire to hang the light from the mount, its not required but its nice to have. It had a hole and a loop for this, so i just used an old wire tie to hang it. It took me about 10 minutes to take off the old fixture and put this one in. Also note, there is no earth ground wire. I like that it 'remembers' the last setting it was set to, so flicking the light switch your not looking around for a controller. Observations: Remote control batteries not included, the remote takes 2x AAA batteries. It did not come with the little wire to tie it to the mount. The light up close looks just ok, the whole thing is plastic. 4 Stars, because of the mentioned observations. I'm not going to put too much weight on the fact that i had to replace a defective product, but at the same time i think its important to know.

Got this for my room. Easy to install. it’s very bright and the remote works very well. Brings ambiance to the room. Will definitely buy one more for my other room.

I like the mood lighting on this thing. It's nice to use when I'm watching a movie or to get my circadian rhythm aligned at night to avoid having trouble going to sleep. As a main light source, it's just not that bright in my opinion. I read other reviews saying that it's very bright but from what I can gather from those that have posted their pictures, the trend seems to be that they're installed in small or narrow spaces so I can certainly that it being perceived as bright in those cases. That said, I installed this in my room that is honestly not that big, maybe a bit larger than 200sq ft and it's just kind of dim in a slightly depressing kind of way. It certainly does lack a third (ground) cable and while I can see it as a safety issue as others pointed out, I'm not sure if it's justified or even required on such a low powered device (24W at max) especially since you don't need to buy a separate dimmer control as you already have a remote. To conclude, I'd recommend this item those who are looking for a mood lighting as it offers great features: dimmability, RGB color change/pattern features, and finally remote control to control aforementioned features at your fingertips.

Installation took only around 15 minutes as this was replacing a light fixture I had. It is very bright and it's great to be able to adjust the color temperature. It is so thin that almost looks like a recessed light. RGB LED's provide enough ambient lighting to work as a night light. Though, the light modes are a little limited. Also to note that this does not have a ground wire, I am still a little worried with having a light fixture that is not grounded. Remote is ok but not super high quality. Its the only way to dim these lights so if anything happens to the remote you'll have no way of controlling the brightness or the RGB LED's. Giving it 4 stars due to not having a ground wire.

This LED ceiling light delivers superbly bright illumination and adjustable lighting modes for any mood or activity. Installation took under 15 minutes - I simply replaced an existing fixture after shutting off power. The build quality is excellent with a sleek modern design. My favorite features are the color temperature tuning from warm 3000K to bright 6500K, and the dimmable remote that controls the main light and RGB modes. At full 100% brightness, this 24W light fixture is extremely powerful. But the dimming capability down to 10% works perfectly in my hallway without overpowering. While the remote must be aimed directly at the light and lacks rechargeable batteries, those are minor gripes. The handy 30-minute timer and night light for eye comfort really make this an intelligent LED. I appreciate the energy savings too. Unfortunately, the LED fixture does not include a grounding wire which could be problematic for safety. With quick installation, sturdy construction, and customizable lighting, this LED ceiling light modernizes any room. The remote makes it easy to set the perfect ambiance from bright white task lighting to colorful accent hues. It's an inexpensive way to add both function and flair.
