The media could not be loaded. I originally bought the Linenspa blue memory foam mattress topper CalKing, my husband hated it he said it was too hard to roll over. It definitely had the memory foam quicksand feel. I thought it was nice enough and it certainly made my joints feel better but if it doesn’t work for both parties it’s out. We trimmed it down and put it on the kid’s bed. Then we tried this one, the swirl, both are 3”, both poofed up to the full advertised height and both fit our mattress perfectly. We both liked the swirl better, it is soft and kind to my joints but you don’t feel quite so much like you are wallowing in quick sand with this one. Take-aways: Both soft both are full 3” and fit mattress well Both tear pretty easily so be careful The blue gel more memory foam feel The swirl better bounce-back/recovery time The holes in the swirl topper made no discernible difference in my opinion Not sure I could opine on which slept hotter, I’d say near equal I’d definitely recommend covering with a mattress pad cover. If you just throw this on your mattress with a sheet over it it won’t feel as nice or last as well. I wish Linenspa would create their own video to help buyers make this choice, I ended up spending $200 having to test drive both which is frustrating it really would have helped me to have a side-by-side comparison. FINAL UPDATE: Still wanting/hoping to get a topper that actually delivered what they promised we ordered another brand from Target. It arrived and for a third time we laid it out. in TWENTY MINUTES it was it's full three inches! YAY! WE've had it for a week now and are very pleased with the level of comfort. UPDATE: We managed to return the first topper and the company sent another. Two weeks later and it also looks exactly the same as when we laid it out. (See additional pictures) We are returning this one too and will have to try and find one from another company that actually delivers what it promises. What a pain. If I could give this zero stars I would. First Review: We ordered the Calif King 3 inch swirl bed topper from Amazon. It arrived 7/3/23 and over 2 hours later was still flat. (Picture 1) We could not use it on our bed so we moved it onto a futon in another room. 24 hours later it looked exactly like it did the night before. (Picture 2) A full week later and it STILL looks exactly the same. (Picture 3) The bed topper is defective. We would like to get a replacement, however if we go through amazon they want us to return the defective product. While it remains flat, it is still large and heavy now out of the vacuum sealed bag. It will be impossible to get it back into the box. The customer support info provided by Amazon proved to be useless. The phone was answered by recording and asked us to leave a message. Followed by another recording stating the mailbox was full. The website link resulted in a "something went wrong message" I would ask for a return and replacement but while the topper is still flat, it is also very heavy and will not fit back into the box it came in now that it's been removed from the vacuum sealed bag. We were looking forward to improving our sleep and instead are disappointed, annoyed and frustrated. We share this so you might avoid the same experience. ... show more

Should’ve went with a 2 inch thick. 3 is more than necessary for extra comfort on a new bed but it is nice and comfy. I sleep hot, so a thinner one would’ve been better. The holes built in for ‘cooler air’ don’t help enough. Hard to return once you take it out of the box. Can’t imagine how squishy the 4 inch thick would be, I could use it as a bed alone. ... show more

The mattress topper did not expand like I would prefer it to. I let it expand on Friday 08-25-23 and it’s Monday 08-28-23 evening and it’s still not expanded fully. I let it try to expand for 72 hours.

I received this and it was compressed into less than an inch thickness. I opened it up per unpacking instructions that came in the box. It did not expand At all after one day. Instructions say to let it expand fir 48 hours. It’s also smaller in size than expected I have a calking mattress and bought the calking 3” gel memory foam swirl It’s not quite wide enough but I’m hoping after 48 hours it grows in thickness and in width. Right now it’s useless I can sleep on a comforter that is thicker than this mattress topper buyer beware. I’ll update after 48 hours to see if it expands Revised: Well after leaving unboxed overnight it is now fully decompressed and fully three inches thick I’m laying on a cloud revising my review it took a while to expand and I was worried but now it’s perfect just what was advertised. It might be too soft fir my wife but fir me it’s good ... show more

Gave this 3 stars middle ground since I don’t want to knock this item as it may work for others. I did not like are you sink all the way in and it hard to get out of bed. With it doing this it actually made it harder to get comfortable and reduce my sleep time. If you want something to hug you when you sleep this might be good for you. ... show more
