Bought this and gave this to my husband as an early Father's Day gift. He's doing a lot of welding and body work on a 1949 International KB pick-up truck. Because it's a complete restoration, there's a lot more welding, cutting, repairing, etc. to do. He was REALLY surprised about the coat, and it is doing exactly was it was intended to do, protecting him from those nasty welding burns and sparks. I bought a size larger than he wears, which gives him extra working room. He also says it's not too warm while working in the garage, and actually very comfortable. The quality is excellent, he's happy, I'm happy he's safe. It WAS the best choice for the money! The brand, Lincoln is a very good welder brand too! So, I figured, the coat would be well made, and it is. Works perfect with his welding gloves. BTW...Don't buy the one with the plastic flames on emblems on the sleeves, it will melt and burn the arms! ... show more

Protects me well maybe, fits nice, and the black looks good, overkill for tig but definitely proper for fcaw and stick. thick sleeves so you’re not getting burned in this puppy, it weirdly had this really good citrusy smell I liked it I’m not sure about you

This is a solid, comfortably fitting welding jacket. While it's not as heavy as a leather jacket, it's still damn warm in the summer! Just about perfect for the mountain winter, though. Jacket fits good. Been using it for about 6 weeks now. Still holding up to a lot of 6010 overhead. Will defiantly buy another. Leather is thick, but soft and comfortable, not hard like some others. The only downfall so far, is no soapstone pocket.
