  • Runs small, heavy, but good quality
Size: Large Color: Brown
Giving this five stars even though I returned it. It’s a really nice leather welding jacket - I just found the sizing to be small (a large should have fit but it was tight in the chest and short). I’m 6’3” 200 and an XL would have been better, but I’m going to go with a standard cloth shirt for better cooling. It really is just a big heavy leather jacket - if that’s what you want, get it! ... show more

  • Great welding jacket
Size: Large Color: Brown
Great welding jacket! This jacket is adequately thick, good quality for the price, and does the job. Spent several full-time weeks, welding overhead with no burns to me. Jacket holds up well with only surface burns to it. I'm definitely happy with the protection this jacket is providing me. Update June 21, 2017: I've been welding full time in this jacket for months now, and it's still holding up great! Highly durable and protective. It's definitely hot in this jacket during these summer months but the burn protection is outstanding. I'm welding overhead daily and still no significant burns with this jacket. The collar is a huge bonus to this jacket, and gives great all around neck/throat coverage. Excellent ppe for the price! ... show more

  • Great jacket, heavy built leather, very impressed
Size: X-Large Color: Brown
This is a VERY heavy leather jacket. I am 5' 7", 225lbs. with a 44 inch chest. This jacket fits, but I could have stood an XXL. Time will tell if I can comfortably work in the jacket and not get bound up. This aside, the jacket is made well and very sturdy. For the price I don't think this jacket can be beat. UPDATE: 08-19-2017 After working in the jacket for a month I have found that I can move around and work in it quite well. I had to do quite a bit of welding on my back and the jacket worked very well. It is very heavy, but it is not as hot as one would think. I have worn it for 30 minutes at a time in 90 degree heat and didn't suffocate. The jacket must be aired out and allowed to dry though. ... show more

  • Yes, you should order one size larger than normal
Size: X-Large Color: Brown
I read the other reviews stating that the sizes ran small so took a chance and ordered an XL when I would normally order a Large. It fits perfectly. I'm 5'11" and 150 lb but typically wear a shirt and sweatshirt when working in my shop so I need a larger than normal size. If I'm just wearing a T-shirt, then a large would be fine for me considering that I like a roomy fit as I like to have plenty of room to move my arms when wearing a jacket. I use the welding jacket when restoring old cars (crawling under cars), welding patch panels and light fabrication. The jacket is well made but does leave a lot of orange fuzz on my sweatshirt, but I expect that to stop after some use. It's not like I'm wearing my best polyester disco suit when in the shop so the orange fuzz doesn't bother me ;-) Others have noted a strong odor but mine is virtually odor free right out of the box. I deducted one star due to the unusual sizing. ... show more

  • So far, nice jacket, a bit undersized, seems quality.
Size: X-Large Color: Brown
I like a heavier jacket because it usually holds up better. This is a good heavy weight jacket, with a good flexible leather. More flexible than my Hobart $90 coat. Durability is to be seen, have only had it less than a couple weeks. No pen pockets on sleeves, but nice inside pocket. ORDER A SIZE LARGER! I experienced the same as others have, I ordered my normal XL and it's a bit snug. I will order XXL next time. Overall, Iv really like the jacket so far. ... show more

Size: Large Color: Brown
Great jacket! I'm 6'2" 195lbs and fits as a welding jacket should. The sleeves are the perfect length and don't ride up even with elbows bent. They went a little heavy on the dye though. I've used it a half a dozen times in the extreme heat and it will leave your neck orange. I have a feeling this may be true of most welding jackets. It seems to be pretty well bleed out now, last use didn't stain my neck as badly. ... show more
