Buttonholes are sewn into the stripes, not into the front black banding. In my opinion, they would look nicer if they had been sewn into the black verticle band. That is the reason for 3 stars instead of 5. The sweater fabric is awesome, high quality knit of a nice medium weight, not too heavy, and not see through at all. It runs true to size and was flattering, even though the stripes are horizontal. If I were going to wear it open, I would love it. I wanted to wear it buttoned up as a top on it's own, and the buttonhole position bothered me. The armholes are perfect, not too large, and they don't gap. It's fit is boxy, not fitted, so it doesn't cling anywhere that you want to hide. The sweater knit fit and weight were so comfortable. The fabric is breathable and wouldn't be too hot; it will stay looking nice all day. ... show more
