[ Pros ] First off, the bag looks identical to the product listing and is absolutely gorgeous! It’s sturdy and well made with attention to both detail and stitching. The material all around is made of a synthetic leather-like material, with mesh openings for air circulation, detachable nylon shoulder strap, and removable plastic base lined with a thin fleece-like material. The bag continues to retain its shape even when one end of the bag is left open — this is a huge pain point with most carriers for me, they immediately collapse if you leave one end open. It’s definitely been a long time coming to be able to find a bag that is both cute AND functional — you usually have to give up one for the other and over the years I always end up giving up the former for practicality’s sake. Now for the size, my 1 year old Yorkie is 7-8 lbs, 13 inches tall (ground to top of head), and 16 inches long (snout to base of tail); from the photos I uploaded, you can see she’s able lay and and move around relatively comfortably in the bag. [ Cons ] Now although the bag looks great and for the most part functional, there are several pitfalls. The biggest issue for me are the zippers, the only zipper that has 2 sets of zippers is the top opening, while both ends only have 1 zipper each — this is huge a nuisance when you’re going through TSA and trying to quickly take your dog out/put in the carrier. The quality of the zippers themselves was another problem, it kept getting stuck when I was trying to close the bag on one end and close the top. Storage is limited, there’s one small mesh pocket and it sits over the mesh opening on one end which is a poor design because it restricts airflow when you have items placed. Another gripe I had is although there is an opening at the top, it’s not a mesh opening where you can rollback a flap to let additional light in, the top is just a solid piece with zippers. All in all, the bag itself is beautiful and functional as a a pet carrier. It works best in shorter stints of travel like pet appointments or out for lunch, whereas it falls short and would cause inconveniences for longer hauls like air travel and through TSA. ... show more

Literally zips from the bottom!!!! How are you supposed to put the dog in then zip from the bottom??? Heavier than other pet carriers.
