Sturdiness: I picked this product because it thought it looked nice and also because the description said a box frame isn't needed. The frame is in fact nice, the wood is a nice dark gray color. The frame is sturdy and it was easy to assemble. I also appreciate that it has shelves.

It looks great, it's durable because it's a metal frame. My husband built it but I didn't hear much complaining so I'm assuming it was relatively easy to put together. He did break the wooden footboard because he tried to lift it from there only, instead of from the metal frame. It looks great, was a good price, and it was delivered way before the estimate. I think it took 2 days to arrive.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Finding California king bed frames that are not $$$$ and are still pretty is so hard!! Finally selected this one due to the shelf area in the headboard and reviews which mentioned sturdiness. I’ve been using it for about a week now and I’ve found that it doesn’t make creaking noises (which I was concerned about due to the metal frame) and does not move around. The box it was delivered in was quite heavy and I ended up bring the parts up stairs little by little. I assembled it by myself and it took about an hour. It was doable but two people would be best.

It’s a strong bed frame and looks as advertised. All the parts necessary were included. Assembly is difficult for one person. Took 2 hours to fully assemble by myself.
