This is a very nice, almost rigid mattress topper. Its nice that its not just a spongey thing with no thought or design behind it. Its obvious it was designed and tested and it shows. Its cooling and stays attached to the mattress easily All in all i think its great. The thing i dont like about it is its less of a topper b and more of a mattress fixer. Meaning if you have an old lumpy mattress, put this on it and it will make that mattress better But if you have a nice soft mattress but want a little more plush, or something just for cooling, this won't really work It sorta offsets all the softness of a good mattress. We have a hand-me down mattress for my daughter that was firm as a rock. (Well, almost...) This tipper gave her mattress a nice cushiony surface and it feels almost as nice as my memory foam mattress. (Well, almost...) It arrives vacuum packed, and they give you envelope cutters to open it without damaging the topper. There are straps to hold the corners down, and the included bamboo cover is soft and also removable for washing. (I forgot to open it to look at the actual memory foam.) One thing to note, there are a couple silica dessiccant packs in the mattress packaging, so make sure you find all of those if you have pets. Once opened, it was actually mostly recovered and puffed up in less than 12 hours. This also adds 4" to your 'mattress' thickness, so make sure you have deep sheets to fit. ... show more

I love this mattress topper! It's nice and thick, and is firm but not hard. It comes super vacuum-packed and squished down. As soon as the bag is opened, it puffs up to the right size and shape within a few seconds. It's probably safe to assume that it will not be prone to indentation over time as it will not be under more sustained compression than that. Comfort-wise I really like it and I was SUPER impressed that it did not have any smell when new. I even slept on it the same night I opened it. Just got this in, the smell is not good, like burnt plastic and it is really firm, like hard as a rock. Cannot get comfortable at all, my back hurts like crazy. Got the twin xl and it was really long too, going to give a couple more nights but not looking good

I am giving 3 stars because it is of good quality but it is way too hard! I am a curvy woman so I need the "give" for my hips.as I am a side sleeper.. I am so sad because it could be an excellent product and probably is for some.but I just need my hips to.sink in:( if you want or need a firm topper this is an excellent buy!! ... show more
