  • Surprisingly Practical for Something Made to Be Portable
Color: Bright Blue Size: 220 Pound
I was really impressed by how many functions they managed to pack into a transport wheelchair that is still meant to be lightweight and foldable. The biggest advantage is portability. Wheelchairs can be bulky, awkward to lift, and a pain to fit into a vehicle, in my experience. This one, though, folds down much more easily, which makes it far more practical for appointments, travel, outings, or even keeping in the car in case someone needs mobility help unexpectedly. (home care friends, you know what I'm talking about) Despite being lightweight, it does not feel flimsy. The frame feels sturdy, the seat is supportive, and the overall construction seems well thought out. It also maneuvers better than I expected for a compact transport chair. Turning, getting through tighter spaces, and moving across normal indoor surfaces all felt manageable. I also appreciate that this is clearly designed with the person pushing the chair in mind. The handles are easy to control, the braking system is accessible, and the smaller footprint makes it less cumbersome than a wheelchair in hallways, stores, or waiting rooms. The folding design is probably my favorite part because it makes storage dramatically easier. Instead of a large chair permanently taking up space, this can be folded and tucked away when not needed. This is important, though: it is a transport wheelchair, so it is best for someone who will generally have another person pushing them rather than someone looking for a self-propelled wheelchair with large rear wheels. For temporary mobility needs, travel, appointments, recovery periods, or families who want a backup mobility option on hand, I think this is incredibly useful. It feels sturdy enough to trust, compact enough to actually take places, and much easier to handle than I expected. A genuinely practical piece of equipment that doesn’t make portability an afterthought. ... show more

  • Pros and cons. Depends upon the user.
Color: Bright Blue Size: 220 Pound
I am reviewing Lightweight Foldable Transport Wheelchair for Seniors Adults, I would give this chair 3.5 stars. The chair is made of excellent materials. Everything is of good quality and built with attention to detail. The design, however is a mixed bag. First, there is not much space for storing the things that must come along. The cup holder slips tightly over one armrest and secures at the bottom, but it is flat and won't hold much. The cup holder mesh is stretchy with elastic at the top, and it will hold a small/medium cup or bottle. The arm rest limits the allowable height somewhat, and makes it a little difficult to get a short cup out. The cushions have a look and feel of faux leather. They are of mid thickness and the padding is thin so you're not getting a lot of rebound. The arms fold away leaving the seat without structure on the sides. The arm rests are too short to be used as such, making them more of a side rail. The wheels are solid and roll smoothly. The two larger back wheels keep the chair from being completely dangerous, but the tiny front spinners are a problem when rolling on anything but a smooth, flat surface. the front wheels turn sideways and stop, causing the rider to lurch forward without much help from the arm rests. There is 1 foot kick but if you need it on the other side, no luck. The chair feels precarious forward for the rider with nothing other than the seat belt to give security. The foot rest is nice in ways, not so nice in others. It provides a comfortable and secure rest for both feet, but only a narrow one. I like the way it easily folds up or down. However, if the rider does not want to use it, the up position causes a bit of discomfort for the user as it folds up TO the seat edge, instead of under it. The chair is simple to fold, but the strap that secures it is not. I must be doing it incorrectly because it is just not easy or secure. The pull out handle is nice but it has the same feel as those on luggage. Kind of shaky, an it is in the way of the fold/secure in place strap. Overall, the size is compact with quite more weight than its size would reveal. The folding armrests make a side seating the primary way to board. With the foot rest down, the patient can't really sit or rise out of the chair from the front. The seat is narrow, in fact the overall size is narrow. It sits low and the push handles are lower than is comfortable for me to push. There doesn't seem to be any adjustments to be made. My patient weighs 142lbs and pushing him feels ponderous. The compact size is good for use in tight spaces indoors, but for an everyday use outside, this chair falls very short. It would be convenient for travel, and honestly, I would say that, and indoor home use are the only two scenarios I would recommend the use of this chair. It is not going to be comfortable, or even useable for a much larger person than my patient. He looks quite scrunched up sitting in the chair. So, in conclusion, the chair is well constructed, not well designed, and made for much smaller person than advertised. Good for travel or strictly in home use by a small person. The value at $200 reflects the materials and construction, but not the overall versatility or usefulness. ... show more

  • Nice, lightweight transport wheelchair
Color: Bright Blue Size: 220 Pound
This SUCCU transport wheelchair is a good choice for travelling. It is lightweight yet performs well as a wheelchair. The seat and backrest are comfortable. The footrest is a good size. It feels solid when sitting in it but isn't made for people over 220 pounds. If you are approaching 220 pounds or more, you should definitely select a different wheelchair. One big benefit of this chair is that it is easy to transport. It folds up fairly flat for a wheelchair and only weighs about 21 pounds. It's much easier to put in a car than the full size wheelchairs. The back wheels are large with much smaller wheels in the front. Larger wheels in the front might have been a bit better for uneven ground. If you are looking for a travel wheelchair, this is a good choice. ... show more

  • Folds flat, rolls smoothly and feels sturdy!
Color: Bright Blue Size: 220 Pound
We needed a transport chair that could fit in our trunk without taking up the entire back seat, and this SUCCU chair checks all the boxes. Despite weighing just under 20 pounds, it doesn't feel flimsy at all. The aluminum frame is solid, and the 2-inch padded seat seems comfortable enough for outings to the doctor or grocery store. It's a roomy, full size when expanded, but folding it up is a breeze: It collapses quickly and tucks away neatly, which is a huge win for our storage situation. The chair maneuvers easily on indoor surfaces, and the brakes are simple to engage. One note for those with larger hands: The handle grips are hard plastic and might feel a bit narrow, but they work well and probaby won't get that "sticky" feeling one often gets with softer rubbers as they age. Yes,you can get a basic chair for less than $200 (which is what this cost at the time of this review), but for what it gives you, this is a great value for a lightweight, reliable transport chair. It's made our trips much less of a hassle, and the bright blue color makes it easy to spot in the car. ... show more

  • Time to supe up your ride.
Color: Bright Blue Size: 220 Pound
I was a bit surprised to find how large the box that this transport wheelchair was considering how much it is able to reduce its overall profile. I suppose that was for the best, as the extra buffer allowed for safe travels on more treacherous roads, where as once it is read for use those concerns will be alleviated. Despite the size, the weight was actually a lot lighter than it looks, since a bulk of that is just protective filler. While it didn't stop it from ramming a hole through the side of the box, causing it to be further packaged, it becomes much more wieldy after the fact. I really like the vibrant colors, and while I would have leaned towards purple or gold were they available in the same capacity at the time, the blue still manages to be quite striking. If, for some reason, you need a transport wheelchair and decide to buy a brand new one yourself, the overall look and quality seem up to par. While their are definitely cheaper options for such a thing, at least you'll know you are in decent hands with this portable model. ... show more

  • Excellent transport chair
Color: Bright Gold Size: 220 Pound
This transport chair is east to fold/unfold. When folding, just take a step or two backwards so the front wheels are facing backwards or it won't fold all the way. The seat is well padded and should give a couple of hours of comfory. It rolls smoothly and there is a curb hopper at the right rear wheel. When folded, it really isn't that big and the handle extends to roll it around. The arms fold so a person can slide onto the chair. I really only have one problem with it, I have large hands and it feels like I'm holding it with three fingers instead of my whole hand. Also, the grips are made of hard plastic and my hands can't get a good grip, having them made out of a softer rubber would help. This may be good for a person with smaller hands to move it around, just not for me. Don't get me wrong, this still is a excellent chair and that's why I'm not taking any stars off. ... show more
