Soooo much brighter! I changed out the pull string lights in the garage & the one above our washing machine. Both were easy to install. Above the washer it was as easy as screwing in a bulb. It works great! The garage one was broken (see photo). No pull string anymore. Again it was an easy installation but a bit more work. Had to remove the old one and install the socket and then screw the new light in, secure with screws & add cover. Highly recommend! ... show more

They were extremely easy to install and are very bright. The only thing is the pull cord is very short, had to buy chain extensions and attach them so it was easier to turn on/off.

The light itself is bright and was a good size. But, they put this little cheap 4" string to pull the light on/off. This is advertised as a closet, ceiling light. How am I supposed to reach a 4" string? It should have at least been a chain that you can add a length to. So I had to just tie another piece of string to it, which looks pretty tacky. These work perfectly as closet lights etc. they are easy to install/screw in easily and they give enough light. The only negative is you’ll need to buy pull chains for them because the pull chain that is attached to it is too short.

    • Broke off in the socket after 2 weeks of use
I had a socket with a bulb and pull chain in my closet. Our home inspector said it was not to code due to to fire hazard (the bulb was just a few inches from the clothing rail). I saw this item and purchased it. After screwing the fixture into place I was pleased. It looked good in my closet and was a much easier fix than bringing an electrician to replace the fixture. However, after two weeks of pulling the chain to turn off/on the light, it started to flicker. A few days later when I pulled the chain the whole unit broke off, with part of it still in the socket. ... show more
