This has been so handy. I've only ever used the regular metal crochet hooks before. After using this one for a while, I went back to the metal one for a minute and I was amazed at how quickly I had grown comfortable with the wider handle. It really makes such a difference on comfort I never realized before. So I love the ergonomic handle. I find the stitch counter to be kind of useless, it's faster to just count that in my head. If there was a way to make these count stitches automatically, that would be the height of existence in the crochet world, but oh well. I do find the row counter super useful though. I was making a bunch of plushies and constantly needed to make sure I knew which row I was on so the row counter was super handy. Like some people mentioned, there were a couple hook heads that had a weird sticky residue, so not sure what that was about, but otherwise, super nice crochet set.

I purchased a set for my sister as a Christmas gift. She crochets a lot in her spare time but she doesn't have a lot of that time. So for her to be able to crochet and not lose her focus on what she's doing, this is great. She also has the attention span of a mouse that drinks 12 cups of coffee a day. I purchased a larger set so it would just give her more options. She told me she didn't need that at first when she showed it to me for her gift, but she has since then been very grateful for the addition of the larger kit because she can actually use two different hooks and she needs to.

pros: I appreciate the fact that this hook is longer than the regular hooks. It creates less strain on my hand. I love the interchangeable tips. They are easy to change and feel solid (especially the metal ones). The carrier has room to add some stitch markers, needles and scissors. The light has 2 levels. cons: the counting button is in the wrong place. If you want to count every stich with the counter you have to stop and push the button. If the button had been higher on the hook, you could do it seamlessly. So i don't really use the counter at all. If you crochet too tight, and struggle with the stich, it will turn the tip and it will come undone. The plastic tips might not be as strong as you would like. The light is not all that useful

I love this crochet hook set. It comes with interchangeable hooks and includes all the sizes you would need as a beginner. I love the stitch and row counter. Plus it includes a light! This is the only hook I have been using for my crochet projects. I do notice that the finish on the metal crochet hooks are wearing off from frequent use but so far it doesn't seem to affect anything so it doesn't bother me. Only thing I would suggest is for the company to release a set of lace hooks that would work with the base as the smallest hook size in this set is a 2mm. Would love to use this hook for micro crochet projects.
