For six years, we have discussed replacing the builder-quality light in our small entry hall. Our style is an eclectic mix of metals, woods, antiques, and ultra modern. At its price, we almost overlooked this light. We were shopping much higher. If this is your aesthetic, don't worry about the quality. Ours is mounted about 10' up so it isn't subject to critical examination. It's also small so it could look lost in a larger space. This light puts out a lot of lumens. It makes a very bright space for entering and exiting guests. I don't think you can go wrong with this light unless you're looking for subtle and moody. Installation was very easy. Note: we have electric heat so there was no discoloration of the ceiling paint. The size of the mount is very small. It barely covers the electric box. If you had a sloppy builder or a fuel furnace, you may have a problem. Quality is much better than I expected. So is the design. If the installed bulb ever needs replacing, it should be no problem getting access to it. ... show more

I brought two of these light fixtures for my kitchen. Within 18 months, one of them started experiencing a control unit issue and it decides to turn on when it wants. I can't find a replacement, which now forces me to either buy an additional one or switch out both lights to something else.

Great light to freshen / modernize a space. We had tried the flush mount, but it showed some imperfections of the ceiling. This Semi-Flush mounted light was perfect, it just keeps the ceiling a little darker to hide those imperfections. If you are looking for very Warm light, then this is not the one for you. Even dimmed the "Warm" one we purchased was still "bright white" IMHO. Overall, very satisfied with light quality and ease of installation. ... show more

These light are very bright, and have (3) light levels settings that you can adjust by flipping the internal switch located by the cluster of LEDS. Instructions were easy to follow, but my lights were missing the lock-washer that is suppose to be installed on the stem screw which holds the assembly. That point is the only point/area that holds the entire light assembly so if it comes lose (over time), the entire light would fall. I went to Home depot to purchase lock washers. That was my only issue. (My wife loves the light though.... Pantry / Garage hallway / Laundry room). ... show more
