This review is for Lifgright, 2 PCS, 2’x2’ LED Panel, LED Drop Ceiling Light Fixture, 5500K daylight White, 45W, 5800lm, 0-10V dimmable. The 2-pack I received does not look exactly like the fixtures shown in the sellers photos, but close. The brand, according the label, is different than the product listing. A sticker on the back panel shows the brand is WYZM LED Panel Light, Model No: PL-45W. Manufacturer is SHENZHEN GREENSUN OPTOELECTRONIC (Greensun). These are the identical brand, part number, and manufacturer as another set I purchased from a different seller, also listed as a different brand. The dimensions are 23-3/4” x 23-3/4” x 1-1/4”, and include installed brackets for securing to a suspension grid or hanging from wire. If not using the brackets, they can be bent inward and won’t interfere with installation. I am installing these in surface mount frames (available on Amazon) over a workbench in my garage. Before installation I tested them. The color is cool white and appears as a bright, evenly diffused square of light. No shadows or hotspots (individual LED’s showing). They each draw 40.2 watts (rated 45W), and do not generate any noticeable heat. They are not CRI 90 or above, so color rendering is a little off. Red tones look more brown, and skin tones are off. Not by much, but some might be bothered by it. Something to consider if used in an area were accurate colors are important. At just under 4 lbs. they feel light for their size. Appropriate, considering their intended use is in suspended ceilings. Instructions are included for installation and electrical. The LED driver housing has wire color codes and descriptions. Mine arrived without damage. Other reviewers have mentioned damage to the frame and dented back panels. They are made of lightweight materials so that they can safely sit in a suspended ceiling grid. Careless handling in or outside of the packaging can easily damage them. The junction box has 1/2” knockouts for wiring. It does not include wire nuts or strain relief grommets. The box is a little flimsy for attaching strain reliefs but would probably hold the weight of the fixture if it should fall. There are two screw holes for attaching a ground wire to the frame. One of those could be used to anchor a strain relief. Inside the junction box are standard black/white/green wires for 120 volts. Two 20 gauge wires, pink and grey, are for a dimmer. These lights operate at 120 volt through a standard non-dimming switch. To dim the lights the pink and grey wires run to a low volt rheostat. Open circuit = 100% brightness. Shorting the pink and grey together = 0% brightness. So if you are not adding a dimmer circuit, isolate the pink and grey wires inside the junction box. Amazon carries the low volt dimmers. Search for “0-10 volt dimmers”. There is a ETL compliance logo on the attached junction box, but the fixture model number does not have a valid ETL certificate on file. The product description doesn’t mention ETL or UL compliance either. The ETL logo on the junction box may refer to a UL listed LED driver inside the box. These work great and are exactly what I was looking for to light up my workbench.

Received damaged so I’d say that the packaging lacks adequate protection. I got 3 boxes and 2 sustained damage with minimal signs to the boxes meaning that a little better packaging could have prevented the damage. They come packaged with the lens sides toward each other and the top toward the outside of the box. The box didn’t show any damage, but the light looks like maybe something was set on top of the box or maybe dropped onto something smaller pushing in and crushing the top of the light into the lens cover. We tried hooking it up to see if it made a difference and it looked terrible. I took it apart and pushed the top back out and it looks better but still not like the others. We didn’t have a lot of time and decided to use it anyway because you really only notice it when you look at it and doesn’t seem to affect the light that it puts out. My husband has basic electrical knowledge and had no problem hanging them. He did say that the instructions were not helpful and almost misleading as they did not properly represent the light that we received. That said, he didn’t think it was a huge problem because you shouldn’t try to work with electricity without at least a minimum knowledge of how it works, and they are pretty basic. He didn’t like that there were absolutely no instructions on the dimmer wires. Luckily enough it isn’t a problem for us. Our Lutron Caseta dimming switches seem to work ok with them. On the lowest setting they blink but we just won’t dim them that low. If the dimming worked properly, they might also get more dim but, again, not a problem because they get dim enough for us. All of that and I’m only taking away one star because they are fantastic lights. We removed our old T8 florescent lights, and these are worlds better. No more pushing and banging on them to get them to come on. LOL. I have more light now than I’ve ever had and I’m ecstatic. In the end they could have had better instructions and should have been packaged better but my end result still makes me pretty freaking happy.

We were a bit shocked when after installation we flipped the switch! Wow- it sure is bright! This would be a good thing for those needing more light for sure. We were replacing a 2X 2 Drop ceiling fluorescent light in the lower level that had been out for years due to the price of replacing a you- shaped fluorescent bulb. This fits perfectly in the drop ceiling. My husband had it up and connected and all was put away within 30 minutes. It comes in a two-pack, so when this goes out, you just replace the whole fixture- genius. It sure beats the high cost of fluorescent bulbs, too, and is more energy efficient. The lights came well packaged with corner protectors. Well made! I do wish they would come in softer white options OR, when we get around to it, we can put a dimmer switch on the light- as these are even dimmable! These would work well for the home or office.
