It too me and my son (both engineers) about 4 days to finish. Very nice product, but if you want to do it your Selfe please think twice.

    • The good, bad and ugly
Bought through Competitive Edge Products (the Amazon Suppler but not shipped through Amazon). The shed arrived delivered in the street by the curb well packaged (2). A bit heavy but two people and a dolly were able to move it to the site where it was to be assembled. All the parts ‘seemed’ to be there according to the instruction sheet (packing slip - yes we checked). A wooden base was constructed and leveled. On putting down the floor panels it seemed the one having a place for the right hand door hinge was incorrect. Here is where the ugly starts. The instruction illustrations are more suggestions as to what the parts or panels look like which in some cases are just flat out not correct. Legos and IKEA have better instructions. Yes, I know the parts are labeled and identified but when the instructions aren’t helpful and suspect - well, I’ll let you experience your own issues. Anyway waiting for Monday and calls and shipping to get a replacement shipped (if indeed it was wrong (it was) was not an option. We made do and assembled anyway. If you have built sheds or are a mechanically inclined DIY type the poor instruction issue can be overcome but if not then probably avoid this item. Additional helpful tips are offered something like “ Step 9.1 proceed next as you did in steps 9.1 through 9.12.” Two pages late “Oh by the way, remember not to use the same exact parts. One is different.” Great I was looking for the wrong one then and thought I did’t get it. I’m sure you will find your own issues should you choose to attempt this build. Watching the company videos help but there isn’t one for this particular shed (12.5 X 8) Sorta like the 15 X 8 (sorta as in similar but not the same). The video set is clearly indoors and nicely climate controlled with plastic parts neatly trimmed. In reality assembling in 90 degree heat in the sun with 80+% humidity is another animal. Plastic gets kinda softish and floppy which is fun. (people get soft and floppy too but that’s another issue). So other than these adventures we got it done. One day for site prep and base construction. One day to build the shed. It will do what it is supposed to do. Nice concept. Fair manufacture. Poor quality assurance on packing all the right parts and incredibly bad instruction set with illustrations being the worst and text only slightly better. There don’t seem to be many options out there for this kind of product. Good luck ... show more
