  • Storage shed
This shed was 8 x 8. It was relatively easy to put together. Most of the time one person could do it. Needed at least three to get the corners set. The only possible problem is the doors. We had to use shims to get the door squared. We are in the second year & we still have to make adjustments. We are located in Arizona & it’s still holding up well. ... show more

Good quality happy with the purchase. Time consuming assembly but we expected that. Seems sturdy!

  • Good product, bad instructions
Bought this a week ago, and just spent 5 hours yesterday with my cousin - who builds houses for a living - putting it together. I'm lucky enough to have every specialty tool known to man, and a good line of cordless power tools, including 1 drill, and 1 driver, so that made putting it together substantially easier. I would recommend using a drill to do the screws, and a electric driver with a 3/8 socket to put the nuts on (careful not to over-tighten). You should also have one of those 90 degree angle Phillips screw driver to hold the head of the bolt, while you use the driver on the nut. The directions glaze over a few important details, in particular, which holes to use when connecting the two ends of the trusses together. If you guess wrong, you will get the roof on, and then notice the final cap pieces don't meet flush, and you will have to tare it all down, rebuild the trusses, and install the roof again. With 2 men, it is bare-able to get all this together and deal with the curve balls as they come. There is a video from the manufacturer on youtube which goes over how to build a very similar shed. Watching that will really help, and will allow you to not need the 70 pages of assembly instructions as much (although you really really need to pay attention to those as well). All and all, the end result is a nice looking, sturdy shed. I would suggest using caulking to seal up some of the seems to keep out bugs. I installed mine on top of an existing concrete slab, and used industrial caulking adhesive to glue the shed down. If you don't have a perfectly flat surface to mount this on, save yourself the heart ache and don't even think about trying this. The pieces really need to line up perfect in order to assemble right. I would also discourage anyone from trying to build this with their spouse, unless they want to end their day with a divorce. ... show more

  • Spend the extra money for the added support
Have had the shed several years now. It has been thru several hurricanes now and no problems. I also prchase the additional roof supports kit. It reinforced the roof and doors. Easy to put together and is great storage for the yard equpment

  • Very easy to assemble! Side walls tend to bow out a bit.
Instructions say at least 3 people are required to assemble. I did it totally by myself. So if your handy with a rubber mallet and a screw gun you should be fine. Just don't do it on a windy day. I put mine on an existing concrete slab from my old shed which made the setup straight forward and level from the start. Make sure you read thru the directions completely before you start and check all your parts. Being it is plastic sometimes parts can get mis manufactured or damaged in shipping. Pre assemble all the roof rafters and gables before you start you assembly, you will be thankful you did when it comes time to place them. I do think it is a bit pricey but everything is now a days. ... show more

  • Can't really return it once you assemble it!
I have 3 sheds from Lifetime. After building this one, the doors wouldn't align or close properly. All lifetime could suggest was to insert wedges at opposite corners between the floor and the foundation (which was sturdy wood framing and thick plywood). That only partially corrected the problem, and now I have entry points for mice to invade the structure. Not happy! ... show more

  • Time Consuming Assembly but Worth It Time Consuming Assembly but Worth It
It's very well designed, the instructions were great. We watched videos on YouTube before we started and at different times during construction to make sure we were on track. It took 2 of us (husband and wife) 5 hours to build. We build things together well and this went smoothly even though it took a long time. ... show more

  • Horrible - Could Not Complete Assembly Horrible - Could Not Complete Assembly
My 15+ year old Rubbermaid garden storage shed was falling apart and too small. So after alot of research I decided to buy this one. It has great reviews and only a few people had issues. All was packaged well and delivered timely. In fact all was going perfectly until it wasn't. My handyman built a nice level wood and cinder block foundation for the shed. He assembled the floor and sides and those went together nicely. The doors fit perfectly and opened and closed as designed. Then the trouble started. As soon as he tried to install the roof the shed walls and floor buckled, the doors went askew and the shed started leaning to the left. He tried for 2 days to make the roof work with the walls - no luck. Lengthy conversations with the manufacturer provided no help except to say the roof was assembled perfectly. It just does not fit. So after paying a thousand dollars for the shed and another thousand for the assembly, I now have to pay to have it disassembled to return it. I just LOVE throwing away a thousand dollars. Don't you? ... show more
